I am going to be gone from my home for a month or so if all goes well. My question is, is there a limit on how long I can be away.
Would it be better to just end all my listings and relist in another time.
How would be the best way to handle this??
I have a 100% feedback and don't want to take any chances of harming that. However I think If I end all listings or close ebay that I will lose the feedback anyway.
Anyone out there that can explain this I would truly appreciate it.
Thanks in Advance

If you have a Store account, you can do the full time away and buyers won't be able to see your listings.
If you don't have a store account, ending the listing and relisting when you get back would be the only option.
EDIT: I just tried this on my hub and it appears 30 Days is the maximum Time Away. It was letting me put time away until August 12th.

I did Time Away for two weeks and kept my store open and had great sales. And great feedback.
But, you are selling items that buyers probably need right away and not eventually in a month. I would not in your situation sell anything until you return since the items you are selling buyers need now.

Be sure to change your "turn around time" if you plan on allowing customers to make purchases while you are on vacation. Putting store on vacation does NOT change your turn around time.

To be on the safe side, I will just end every thing. But that its just me.

Time Away is available for ALL sellers, having a Store subscription or not makes no difference (that change was made several years ago).
30 Days is the maximum but if you have access to the internet you can end Time Away at 29 days and 23 hours for one minute and then restart it for another 30 days.
Another things to do is to use the Out Of Stock option, you can bulk change the quantity available to zero and eBay will let your listing sit (not visible) for up to 6 months. Using this method will not get you the banner for the very few people who might stumble on your listings (watchers, outside link etc) or let you set up the auto-responder for messages but if the goal is to just not have to end/relist or avoid listings going away permanently (60 or 90 days) the Out Of Stock option works perfectly.

Thanks for the input. For now I would like to keep them on eBay but setup on time away. A few months ago I did a 2 week time away thinking I would be back before the time away ended. That didn't happen as I was a day late and sure enough the ending of my scheduled day off and I got hit the next morning with a sale as the store automatically opened and I was still 330 miles away. I got through the hassle and saved my feedback and such but don't want to go through that again. Guess it may be best to end all items and start from scratch when I get back.
Will I use all my feedback and 100% when I start back up???
Thanks Much Dennis

30 days & it has nothing to do with having a store or not. It's available for everyone. Also, the old "vacation" hold did not take handling time into account, but the new Time Away DOES TAKE HANDLING TIME INTO ACCOUNT. DO NOT ALSO CHANGE YOUR HANDLING TIME. Unless you want your listings to be on Time Away for the combined total of the two.
Also, be aware there are exceptions to the inability to buy, such as if you send offers while you're gone or accept an offer & it used to be that GSP purchases were exempted, not sure if the new international shipping is exempted or not.
If you want to be 100% certain, I would end my listings. Last time I used it, I had several of these exceptions pop up & I did not know they were exceptions.
