I'm an 18yr, 100% rated Ebayer. Rapidly became disabled and lost my hands and arms thru spinal trauma. I've always counted on eBay so felt comfortable listing my auctions in an attempt to survive. Success; sold $1800 worth of equipment, all shipped the next day, passed along tracking numbers, and communicated with buyers as usual. Ebay then restricted my account, cut off all other auction items. All buyers paid, but I have not seen a cent. I paid for the shipping, confirmed they received the product, and now after a solid week, I still have not seen one penny. As a stellar seller and buyer, I caution all to the big bully in the room. The mgt must despise disabled people because I did nothing wrong. After 18yrs I think I get how things work. Each and every phone call for customer service for the last week has gotten nothing resolved except now they say i'm well above average in my ebay activity. Yes, ebay must love my donations to their bottom line. Thou shalt not steal must not resonate with the management.

There seems to be an uptick in the number of seller accounts that are being restricted/suspended. There was a reported eBay technical glitch that caused a number of these which was supposedly resolved. EBay should have provided you with some indication/notification regarding the reason you were restricted and why they are holding the funds. Phone calls to customer service are pretty useless at the moment try using the Facebook connection.

Sorry for your medical problems..........Many functions are done automatically so no way do they "despise disabled people"....... They do withhold payments on both large amounts and on accounts that are new or that have not be used in some time. As I'm sure CS said, you will get paid, but Ebay does reserve the right to hold the money for up to 30 days.

Nothing personal. Ebay has no idea who you are or your health condition. Ebay of late has been flagging new sellers who sell lots of expensive equipment/stuff in a short amount of time. I don't know if this is a bug, or they are working off something.
I know these are tough times and people are trying to make some money to pay bills and buy presents, but again, my advice to new sellers is avoid selling too many expensive stuff in a short amount of time.

That must be one very sophisticated algorithm.

(passed along tracking numbers)
Their is really no need to pass along tracking numbers.
It is important to make sure they get (entered into eBay's system)
and eBay will notify them.
I did a quick check and it looks like you haven't sold anything in a wile.
eBay goes by your (recent selling activity) so hopefully this is all your dealing with.

Looking at your Feedback Profile, it looks like you hadn't sold anything for over year prior to these sales. That makes you a "new seller" for eBay's purposes -- so both restrictions on sales and holds on payments apply. Scroll down this page to the Sell links to find find all the info you need on these matters.
eBay doesn't know or care if you're disabled, so playing that card will get you nowhere with them, nor should it.

You're considered a new seller and your funds will be held just like all new sellers and has nothing to do with being disabled.
I'm disabled and my funds are in my checking account every Wednesday morning.

eBay for users with special access needs

I'm familiar with that. It addresses website accessiblity issues -- not any other aspect of selling or buying on the site, the policies for which are the same for every user, as they should be.

Have you signed up for managed payments and sent details of check account, SSN and other verifying documents to eBay?

It doesn't mean that eBay has a thousand different versions of the
eBay policies to accommodate everyone.
But it does include assistance doing and understanding all aspects
of buying and selling on eBay, not just website accessibility issues.

I’ve been on Ebay as a Seller and Buyer for over 20 years. I have not sold anything in a few years but still purchase consistently enough. I tried to list today and found that my account was restricted! I went through CS Chat for assistance and was told that in order to sell, I would have to post my checking account information into my account, regardless of whether I have all my payments run through PayPal. I find this VERY unsettling and left the chat because I was THAT uneasy. This is ridiculous! If all payments, to and fro, go through PayPal, why then do I have to give this personal information over to Ebay? This makes no sense to me. If any feels the same and I was right for not giving my information, please let me know, OR if you have had to do the same and can explain to me why it’s is being asked, needs to be done in this way and that you feel it is genuinely a safe step, I would appreciate your time very much. Thank you!
and P.S. I find it out of line that Ebay restricted this disabled gentleman’s account, completely out of line and very unethical.

You can keep posting that, but it changes nothing: It applies only to site accessibility.
eBay does not have different selling or buying policies based on disabilities.
Whatever the reason for the hold on OP's funds, that hold will not be removed because he is disabled. Nor was it put there because he is disabled, despite his accusation.

While buyers can still use PP to pay for their items, sellers are no longer paid thru PP, but by Managed Payments. As this has been around for three years, Im surprised you dont know that. To have your funds transferred to your bank acct, you must supply your acct information, and your ss # as required by the Federal government if you want to continue to sell here.
