Trying to refund through the ebay return system. Reps are absolustely useless. Always blaming someone else or something else.
Multi billion dollar tech company. They can't fix simple tech glitches? Their only work around is to tell you to send a refund out of your own pocket, using friends and family? Which not only is against paypal policy, it also means you send money with ZERO PROTECTION, and still have a chance that an inept rep will close the case out against you which would mean a double refund. Could it be fixed? Sure, after another hour on the phone with ebay. I want to pull my hair out right now.

Full refund or partial?
Partials can be a problem if the buyer used a coupon or eBay Bucks.

Partial. I told the multple reps that it might be because it's partial refund. None of them acknowledged that at all. Ebay, the multi billion dollar tech company really needs to have their **bleep** together when it comes to their own policies, and systems affected by those policies.
I got ripped off by a seller, selling me counterfeit, that I used that whole 25% discount code with. I wonder what's going to happen to my discount.... The monkeys that keep their tech circus going, must be underpaid. They keep coming with new fancy things, yet at no point do they actually figure out HOW those new things are going to work.

Both eBay and PayPal have a policy that you can't do partial refunds when a coupon has been used.
It's a pretty common policy in retail situations because of the potential for abuse.

There are two kinds of partial refunds. One, where a partial refund is done for an item the person is keeping, therefor the transaction is still valid. Which is the policy you're talking about, which has nothing to do with the ebay system. Two, where a partial refund is done, for a product being returned, to cover restocking fees and shipping costs, which means the transaction is no longer valid, FVF are refunded and the total coupon and ebay bucks is reversed. Don't understand how this is a problem. There is ZERO potential for abuse in return cases.
This is an ebay return. Ebay allows restocking fee. Yet because they gave a coupon, I'm no longer able to refund the buyer?

Anyone? This is a real PITA. I just want to refund my buyer, that is getting really **bleep** off.
