The most ridiculous Neutral -- should I bother contacting CS?

So, I sell a lot of toys/games.

Shipped a  Hot Wheels car, new, sealed - shipped in a box with bubble padding, and the recipient received it two days after his purchase (my post office is walking distance).

I didn't realize until today, that the guy left me a neutral feedback. Reason: Car wasn't fast enough. What the..?

Are you kidding? I didn't design the car, someone at Mattel did.

Is it worth contacting ebay over this ignorance - or let it go?  This is my first neutral,  and it's bugging me as I always go out of my way to make sure every shipment is perfect.

Well, speaking as a buyer, that neutral comment wouldn't even phase me. It's obviously a comment on the product, not the seller/transaction.

A neutral doesn't impact your percentage rating at all, so you're still at 100%. I suppose you could call CS and ask if they'll remove the comment based on the fact that it's about the product. Maybe they'll remove it, maybe they won't. It's worth a shot, anyway.

If they won't remove it, I wouldn't worry about it another minute. All sellers probably have some goofy comment like that from a clueless buyer. Considering what s/he purchased, it's probably some 12-year-old kid whose big brother helped him/her set up an account.

Appears buyer has left their opinion & review of the actual manufacturer 's product that they purchased.

I think it's worth a call if you want to try to get rid of it since it's a product review, not a review of the transaction, and you fulfilled the order in the most professional way.

lol but the box says it is a Formul8r car, That and the metal flakes it should go fat enough to reach 88 MPR to achieve temporal displacement and go back to the future.

Get the right CS agent and i think you can get that removed.

The feedback is supposed to be about the TRANSACTION not the product.

If it's a product issue, they can leave a poor product review.

Good luck!

It's up to you, really.  It's a product review, so it does qualify for removal. That said, even though buyer IDs are scrambled, I would be tempted to leave it up, because it makes your buyer look flaky. It's no reflection on you.

The easier you are to offend the easier you are to control.

The only thing more ridiculous would be to spend time contacting Ebay customer service to get a meaningless neutral removed.

Feedback reply: It’s not the car that’s slow, you aren’t pushing it hard enough.

Thank you all for the replies. Screw it... I've just added him to my block list which was a tiny bit satisfying.

Reply to the neutral feedback with something like this, "Maybe you should put some gas in the carburator. If it's still slow, contact Mattel. They have a vast knowledge on how to do it properly."

Some people are just strange and look for things to complain about.  We sold a pound of irregular broken and small pieces of stained glass.  The buyer complained about  poor packaging.  Yet we shipped a bag of it wrapped with bubble wrap in a box. Some of these you just have to ignore.

Perhaps what he means is that the wheels are sticking.

Yeah, sometimes you just can't win. I got a neutral recently for cancelling an action that the buyer didn't pay for. The silly thing is, HE ASKED ME TO CANCEL!
