The Anticipation!

How many sales today??  Zero or one?!  $5  $8  $12???  The excitement is overwhelming.   Could barely sleep last night with the wonderment of what could be today.   LOL!  I'm sure the eBay cheerleaders will be waving their pompoms in my face.  Go take a nap instead.  😛  After fees, lucky to get $100 US over the last 6 days.  This site is a real mega-goliath for sales.  Some will say, "Well, it's that time of year when people are outside."   Others will say, "I'm doing great with sales!"   So, which is it?   It's slow or it's busy?   lol  I have another word in mind.  Pathetic!   Good luck to us all.     ðŸ™‚

It was over a decade ago that I realized that eBay sales are not consistent, especially with the type of stuff I sell (semi-obscure music memorabilia).

So I never worry about daily fluctuations; I would only worry if my numbers for an entire month dropped.

"I am looking forward to June 16."

Just think of the hundreds of flabbergasted sellers who will flood these boards June 16, wondering why their ads were removed and claiming they never got an email nor have never heard of MP.

1 sale so far today and it's already been shipped.

Except for a few items I sell, Memorial Day to Labor Day is usually pretty slow for me.

Have a great day.

Sounds like a grand time to take a vaca from the boards..

Or at the very least create a macro to just copy paste..

Re: The Anticipation!

Yes, it is slow for some, and busy for others. That's cyclical online commerce, and a lot of factors go into each individual seller's pace of sales.

Re: The Anticipation!

its been said that anticipation of an event is actually better than the event itself in some cases.

sometimes you expect to have a great time at a party or event and its not quite like you expected

sometimes its just more fun looking forward to something

This is true.. It works both ways..

When my boys were young & needed correction; we would tell them to go to their room, think about what they had done and await a spank..

We rarely ever gave them a swat, only if they had done something dangerous- but the anticipation of that swat was extremely effective..
