Re: Taking bets

Yeah, but who leaves the tip?

Not saying 'NO' doesn't mean 'YES'.

The foolishness of one's actions or words is determined by the number of witnesses.

Banana, how did you ever find that auction???"

This story from 2014 shows it goes back to 2000:

It isn't a secret and usually gets significant press coverage.

OK kids, time to get the Dodge loaded up again. I hear 'Poppy's By the Tree' calling. This trip might be a long one too.

i can't see having that much money to spend on a lunch with anyone and i mean anyone.

they say it is going to charity?

well if i had that much money to give to charity would rather see it at work with my own eyes.

buy someone's grocery bill, take a toothless stranger to the dentist, buy 1 that walks to work, a car..............

then again perhaps the person having lunch with WB is already doing all that...

Re: Taking bets

@timemachine777  Yes, it was a typo in my post forgot the word "not" ...

Should read "his kids and grandkids will not be inherting his vast fortune instead it's all going to charity."    And that 'he is a stand up guy, not stand up buy"

Teaches me not to post when I am tired and right before I go to bed. Smiley Tongue

I also know he is frugille.  Read quite a bit about him.  And try to emulate my portfolio to buy low in some of his holdings.  He likes a lot of blue chips.  And Berkshire Hathaway is as solid as you get -- though I haven't looked at it lately.

Happy 2018! May this upcoming year be a prosperous one!

Re: Taking bets

Warren is going to suggest that they hit the drive-through at McDonald's.  No tip.

Re: Taking bets

Oh, good!  I can bid, then.  Don't have to worry about the bid PLUS 15%

WHEW!  Smiley Very Happy

The thing with Warren is that one of the things he loves to do most of his day is to read loads of dry and boring company data.
