People are NOT making more money...?
IT's getting more expensive all around us. Including those eBays fees.
eBay,
Please got work for us (The sellers) Please!! Work with USPS and help lower our shipping costs...
Maybe you could even kick in for "good sellers" ?
The lower middle class is getting squeezed in the U.S. China ships stuff here for free BTW... WE can't compete with that. Bad day:(

We do get eBay discounts when we print USPS postage here.....

If you are suggesting that Ebay pay the shipping costs for "good sellers", I don't see that happening.
Fees only go up if you are Below Standard.

Everybody!!! Crank up your postage charges. Don't get screwed by these increases. Over estimate and refund the difference if needed.

To be specific, Ebay fees.
Unless you are referring to Ebay fees for postage in regards to the Postal Increase.

There is one small exception: Top Rated Sellers (and some other high-volume sellers) are still paying a discounted price for their Priority Mail labels.
Despite the new USPS charts showing identical prices for Commercial Base and Commercial Plus Priority Mail postage, sellers who meet eBay's criteria for "Commercial Plus" rates are getting a 3% discount, thanks to eBay.

I have 36 listings, a lot are priced around .99 cents to 1.25 - I charge 3.95 for shipping, boxes cost me 58 cents ea. (It now averages 4.00-4.49 to ship) plus bubble wrap, tape, peanuts. then there are eBay fees and Paypal. Now with the 50 cent PO hike. I am LOSING money- basically giving it away free. Can I go change my SandH fees now on them? ( I do not have a printer or a scale so I cannot get ebays deal)

The difference between online and retail First Class package prices is now about $1 - $1.30. Plus, online you can purchase First Class postage for packages up to 15.999 ounces for $4.94 - $5.53 (depending on Zone) which is a significant savings compared to Priority Mail.
It might be worthwhile for you to invest in a printer and especially in a scale. You could save money purchasing just the printer, and over-estimating the package weight.

Fair enough Nobody's. Like you said though on priority. 3% yippee.
Did you see my example I wrote on another post here last night? I will repeat, since I love to see myself running my mouth haha.
I shipped a 1lb 2 oz item priority from ebay to my customer 3 states away a few days ago. Obviously priority. Costs a little over $9. 30 btw would be a whopping 27 cents less. A few days before that I sent 67 lbs to the river at about the same distance traveled by miles but different state borders crossed.... little over $11.
Something sound a little off to you? Im selling a large coloring book on the river fba. I do nothing. Sells for a little over $5, cost me $1 landed. Profit at $5 even = $1.41. So all fees and shipping = $2.59.
Ebay all zones media mail which is cheapest way to ship is around $2.75 postage. But since im shipping it I got another $.32 in envelope, ink, label, gas to post office etc. Then 12% ebay fee and 3% paypal fee with a $.30 per transaction paypal fee. Lets do the mathage lol. $5 x 15% = $.75 + $.30 = $1.05 in fees + $2.75 in postage + $.32 in materials + (lets just forget the fact im doing all the labor and customer service because im a cheap date anyway right. That = $4.12 in expenses per sale. Now we also have to take into consideration part of my cost in the book was shipping to the river which was $13.50 for 216 items that weighed 42 lbs in 2 boxes. If I were to ship those books to me without the rivers rate it would have been minimum $25, maybe 12 cents or so per. So now cost is $1.12.
Buyer pays $5.00 (not that you can get the same price here lol) I pay $4.12 in fees , postage, materials, product cost was $1.12 = - $ .24 per unit............and I get the previous mentioned added calorie busting benefit of doing all the packaging , labor, driving to P.O and taking 100% of the risk and dealing with all the customers.
I can not believe people who get hired to run a business and get paid 6 to 7 figured a year can not figure out why they are losing market share. This is a very hot item. It can't be sold here for a profit. How many more are like that? How many views, purchases, buyers, and sellers go looking elsewhere for the very simply explained example above?

You should buy a printer and a scale.
You should stop paying for boxes.

But they haven't yet and it is not known for certain that they will.
So in the current situation, the status quo, fees would go up for Below Standard.

I would not pay for a box to ship unless there was no other way to find boxes. There are many times I am in Walmart and they are stocking shelves. When I see good useable boxes (must be in excellent, clean condition) I ask if I can have a few and add to my stash. The people stocking shelves are usually happy to let me have them. I have never had anyone say NO. The most sturdy boxes are in the area of the dish soaps and in the stationary section. You can also stop by any one of the dollar stores. They send their boxes to recycling but usually have a cart at the entrance to their stock room with many boxes. Even though they may already be flattened, they are usually still in good condition to be reused. If there are labels on them, they peel right off. They have never failed me when I ask for a few. Good luck.

Great tips~and not only do you save money, you are saving the planet by recycling!
