I wonder how share holder's will act when profit's are down and their dividend's are lower because seller are going to sell some where ells and some are going to list less because there afraid of getting hit with extra fee's.
SORRY I'M JUST TIRED OF US SMALL GUY'S AND GAL'S GETTING DUMPED ON AND IT WAS MY TURN TO DUMP IT ON THE BIG GUY'S ( CEO of ebay )
HOPE YOU ALL UNDERSTAND
THANK YOU

So glad someone finally got around to starting a thread about this.

I agree. No control for our listings and fees. Hard when you travel and can no longer control when your listings are live. Definitely will not list as much. Guess Facebook marketplace will get more of my business.

The unfortunate fact is ebay holds all the power and can implement any policy they desire. Sellers don't have to sell here and need to show ebay their dissatisfaction by not selling here. Without sellers, no buyers, no final value fees or GTC listing fees or listing fees for anything. I wonder what a week, 2 weeks, a month with no sellers would look like on ebay's spread sheet?

Next titanic, for-profit change from eBay: sellers must accept ALL returns.
That will be the last draw that breaks the sellers' backs...

It’s already that way. I mean we can say no returns but we all know we take returns anyway

I think this is eBay's motive- get rid of the small sellers.
It has worked I am gone.

he next rule is there will be a fee to cancel your item. Probably in the good ol' Ebay pipeline right about now

I agree. We may not be able to afford to leave completely but we all could take a break the first 2 weeks of April
April fools .

Actually you still retain some control as you can cancel as needed. If you travel, you could extend your handling time to accommodate that if you don't want to cancel. But I understand your concern.

Anything is possible, I suppose, and that might be a way to assure compliance and generate a new revenue stream. They have said there isn't any fees connected with this, though.

I'm sure all won't agree, but I personally think you hit the nail on the head.

It's all about what works for Ebay. I can understand to a certain extent being there isn't a business that doesn't care about its bottom line, but I can not understand the lack of consideration for those of us who are smaller sellers that found that other listing durations worked better for us. I understand that larger sellers may have no problem with the new GTC update. I respect their point of view, and I am actually happy for them if this is working best for them. It just seems that there isn't much understanding for those of us who this GTC doesn't work well for. After all ... We all contribute to ebay even if we are smaller. Without sellers (large or small), ebay would not exist!
