Care to elaborate? Did you send to a wrong address? To the buyer give you a "wrong address"?

Did you buy your postage through eBay?  If so, you should be covered if it shows delivered, even if it is to the wrong address as long as you used the address eBay provided you.

Did you ship to the address shown in the order details?

Are your payouts on hold because of an item not received case? 

If the buyer opened an item not received case all you need to do is upload the tracking number into the case to show delivery to the buyer and you’re  covered.

ebay just ruled in favor for the buyer. i am out $53. due to a mistake on the part of the post office. i have been on ebay for over 20 yrs. whey  to get my back on this ebay. selling on ebay sucks and the customer service is worst.

     Unusual usually the PO will just return the item to the sender. If the buyer opened an INR and you uploaded the tracking information and it showed delivered it would be unusual for eBay to rule in the buyers favor. However this is a case with a bit of a different twist. If this happened and you have documentation from USPS then I would file a claim with USPS. This is their error and eBay is probably not going to be of any use in resolving it.

If you printed the label through eBay then there is no chance of the incorrect zip code being on the label.

That information is enetered by the Buyer when they set up the account.

When eBay notified you of a problem did you up load the tracking number again when asked??

Post office put the wrong zip code? This is why you dont write addresses on packages, you print the label, then there is no room for error, either on your part or as a result of a USPS rep typing in the wrong address.

You could've avoided this scenario entirely had you just printed the label from the transaction, problem solved.

Sent to a buyer with the same name and a different address? This is called mail forwarding, where people have their mail forwarded from an old address to a new one. Tracking info will reflect this.

I have had scamming buyers in the past attempt to forward to a different address and then claim they didnt receive the item. But again, the tracking will show when a package has been forwarded.
