I don't like to buy into conspiracy memes but something is REALLY wrong at eBay or they have just decided they don't want me any longer! I run 3 sites on eBay, my main site, the one I spend the most time on and depend on, is the site with this name, I've been here 20 years & other than a few slow periods, it has made rather dependable sales, I am now down 29.6% since last month.
I have a smaller collectibles site & I fully realize those are not hot items, but have been making occasional sales there, that site is down 42.1% same period . The 3rd site I am helping a terminally-ill friend with, just so he can run out his inventory, it is small, doesn't require much maintenance, mostly all I have to do is mail packages, but has made steady sales for years, it is down 26.8%,
These sites are very different types of products, so really can't be blamed on specific merchandise. This has all happened since OCT 15 to now! Nothing seems to help! I am to the point of panic! I had to borrow money from my son to pay my rent this month if I can no longer depend on eBay, I will be out on the street by year's end! This has always been the best selling season, but not this year! The economy is good, stores are packed! But something is just not right!
I've heard all the stories of eBay wanting to get rid of small sellers and I never put much stock in that, but now I am wondering, is it maybe true??
I really wish I knew some way to jazz sales, but nothing seems to be working any longer!

I'm really sorry to hear of your troubles. I don't know if this would work~but I have read that a call to CS can result in the rep "re-setting" (?) your store and that might work? Just a thought.
I've also read that sales drive sales and increased visibility so perhaps a sale might help.

One word: CLOTHES.
You've been around long enough to know there are millions of clothes sellers and only thousands of clothes buyers. Ebay doesn't care if you are a small seller and is not running you off.

At my old brick & mortar store November was always a slow month, the calm before the storm. That is until Amazon swallowed the storm. October was good but only because of Halloween sales and outerware sales as the season changed. I would always take my annual vacation in November as the holiday inventory was already in stock and sales were slow. Not much for me to do. It is the time of year to be patient in retail.

Selling clothing can only take you so far. I would suggest adding a few different items besides clothes. That should help. Good luck to you.

People most likely do not want Macbook parts, or they can find them cheaper elsewhere. Believe me if I wanted a Macbook part I could easily buy yours on Ebay. Ebay could care less if YOUR Macbook parts sell or not and they could care less if you are big tall or a small seller. It's up to buyers if they want your Macbook parts.

So in two months I sell $250,000,0 worth of MacBook screens and then all of a sudden no one wants my MacBook parts? Exactly how does that work? I don't see any new sellers either. Sales don't just drop like that because ALL OF A SUDDEN no one wants parts anymore.
I been in this business for 25 years and I don't just sell these. We are a repair shop that use these parts as well. Believe me, you can't find them cheaper and if they do, they are garbage.
And I never said eBay cares for me or not. What does that have to do with anything? They are changing their algorithms and it is causing a mess all over the place. I have been in SEO business for more than 15 years as well. Google does this **bleep** as well. But eBay does it 10 times worse. eBay search is horrible because I see how it works.

I typed full lcd screen macbook and guess what, half of them on the FIRST page is YOURS. Tell me how Ebay is stopping me as a buyer from buying your screens resulting in Ebay stopping you from getting sales. Believe what you want but it is NOT Ebay ruining your business. There is either not enough demand or people can buy them cheaper on others sites.
