Sweden marked as restricted?

Not used ebay for a while, but now the wife want me get rid of some stuff.

So I planned to sell some old grafic card, mobo etc.....went through the long and tedious process of filling in all the info and the weird shipping info, which i had to change ten times before it got accepted, and then when i tried to finish, I get a message saying Sweden is not a trusted country and I need to email this email and get on a safe list.....

Ofc i emailed them twice over the last 3 weeks, still no reply.......

Also, most things I have sold and bought in the past are no longer shown in my account.....why would ebay remove that?

Yes, I just discovered the same. Feels extremely bizarre. Sure, there's high rate of "gang criminality" but I fail to see how that's relevant for selling on ebay. Did you see the complete list of "banned" countries? Sweden is in "good company" so to speak:

Argentina, Armenia, Belarus, Brazil, Chile, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Georgia, Jordan, Kazakhstan, Moldova, Morocco, Pakistan, Panama, Peru, Romania, Sri Lanka, SWEDEN, Turkey, Lithuania.

Only one other EU country besides Sweden...

Sweden was designated a so-called HiPO country  a few months back.

Sellers on dot ca are having a similar problem creating labels shipping to Norway. Myself previously included. Mine was over a month ago. The ebay calculator tool allows shipping there with a set of services. Canada post confirms the options are correct. eBay labels blocks the seller from using the service buyer paid for leaving the only options to downgrade or upgrade at a major loss. Seller could purchase outside of ebay but again at a major loss.

I understood being  HiPo country was a positive thing and that Sweden, although being HiPo per se, is now downgraded to being a ”second class” HiPo country.
