I received this message about an item I had recently posted on eBay. I did recently update my payout info so I was thinking this might be real. The message came from account ssah-95 and not eBay. I was thinking it came from that account because this might possibly be the buyer of the item? :

Can anyone tell me if this is something you have seen before or is it a scam to get me to go to the link where my info will be phished. Thanks in advance.

If you received a message in your eBay message from eBay you would see the eBay logo plus it would be in the receiving folder called "From eBay" or "unread from eBay.
If the message is from a member you can click the three dots upper right corner,to report the message.

I really appreciate you jumping in right away about this.

You don't state how this message came to you but DO NOT respond to it. It is a scam. Anytime you must complete a verification via a link it is a scam. This is a variation of the UPS/ Fed Ex delivery scams.
Go to my ebay on the main screen in the upper right. From the drop down look for messages (near the bottom.) That will take you to your inbox. From there you can see all of your messages and if they are from ebay or a member. I suspect you will find this message was not from ebay.

I see that ssah-95 is no longer a registered user, so I guess they've been reported numerous times for doing this in the few days they have been a member.

@star_sales_affiliatellc : No, that was just a throwaway account that has now been booted.
That message was a total scam, and the link would have taken you to a fake eBay login page.

They'll be back with a new account and try again.

Thank you all for the insight! I had a gut feeling and had already reported the message before posting my question here. Then I started to think about the fact that I had just updated my payout information a few days ago and started to doubt myself. This was my first post in this community and it was awesome at how quickly I got an answer. I hope I followed proper community posting etiquette. You all are a valuable asset to my new business. Thank you again!!
