Support the little guys

Why don't the big companies i.e. the ones with 100s of thousand of listings stop with the auto pricing and driving the prices down so low that the small businesses cannot sell here.  Why do you have to be the bottom price all the time.  And whats up with multiple listings by same seller on same item to drive other sellers off front page?  And whats up with multiple accounts for selling?  Avoiding Ebay fees?  Greed is an ugly thing.  I would be happy to not have to be fighting auto pricing and to share the bottom price with every person listing item imagine that our profit imagine would skyrocket for all of us.  Yes you would have to share the buyers but, you would make much more a copy.
I have seen that the ones guilty of being price **bleep** are the big time companies at least in the music departments.  Some are Distributors that sell B2B then price out the very people they sell to online.  Greed.
I wish ebay would step in and put some limits on these companies so they can still make sales but, not strangle the little guys.

You say that "geed is an ugly thing" yet you want your  profits to "skyrocket."

Both things that you propose so you will make those skyrocketing profits are unlawful, both being illegal restraints of trade under federal law.

I understand your frustration at being a small fish in an ocean of bigger fish that are just as hungry as you, but throwing around emotional plaints of "greed" and calling for restraints of trade to your personal benefit are not good survival tactics.

Anyhow, you say in your all lstings that,  "We are truly in this for the sake of music and a small profit if possible," so I'm not even sure what your complaint is since you will be satisified with just the  possibility  of a profit.

Re: Support the little guys

Actually, music isn’t about supporting the small sellers anymore but the artists themselves. Physical sales (except for vinyl) have plummeted and streaming and downloads don’t pay anywhere near what record deals used to net artists so they’re cutting as many middle men as possible.

So if you really want to be competitive, sell vinyl or start your own distribution company or label.

And since eBay is direct to customer, B2B doesn’t apply here. Like I said, it’s all about cutting out the middleman, aka you in your current business model.

And, as well, to support the artists, in earnest, a seller would send royalties for every DVD, CD, or vinyl sold.   If that were not possible, a small amount from each sale could be sent to BMI, ASCAP, GMR, SESAC, MLC, HFA, MRI, MLC, PRO, MRO, or any other group which aims to protect and support artists' rights.

Just three or four cents per DVD, CD, or vinyl resold on eBay would generate tidy sums for such groups.   Not everyone would  do that, of course, but resellers who are mostly in it for the sake and the love of music would surely be glad to.

Re: Support the little guys

Having multiple ebay accounts/stores is absolutely not against ebay rules.

Setting your return policy to 30-day Free returns to reap the benefits and discounts but stating that you charge a 35% re-stocking fee is against the rules. MULTIPLE POLICY VIOLATIONS. That's also unethical and that kind of behavior hurts all sellers by chasing buyers away from ebay.

Re: Support the little guys

Show us the exact eBay rules one by one.  And how  you determined it  was 110% against them.

Re: Support the little guys

One more thing noticed  this comment in your  listing description -

IN ALL CASES OF MAIL DAMAGE PLEASE TAKE PICTURES AND DO NOT OPEN THE PACKAGE.  JUST CONTACT US AND RETURN THE PACKAGE UN-OPENED

1.  Per eBay rules buyer are not obligated to provide  pictures of damage product or even to take damaged product to the PO to  validated or decline an seller insurance claim

2.  Even if they were obligated how do you take a picture of a damaged product  if you  can't open  a package by your unenforceable rule???  You  can write any thing you wish in your  terms &  condition but it is eBay's rules and policy, procedures that counts..Over the decades, have received packages where the box or envelope  was damaged but the product was just fine.

3.  Can't ever recall receiving any thing in the mail - USPS, UPS, FedEx or DHL that was broken and I'm a '44 model - not even my Mom's homemade oatmeal, raisin, walnut and chocolate chip cookies for Christmas & My B'day (the day after).  Hint: the recipe is  under the lid of the Quaker Oats box been there  since my Mom was  in her youth. - she added the the walnuts & chocolate chips.
