Sudden drop in sales May 2022

@robert8256   eBay told you enough to get you off the phone.  If what they said was true then I would be winning so much cheap inventory on different venues it wouldn't even be funny.  The opposite is actually TRUE, inventory is harder to get NOW than prior to Covid ...

Do you use the Handbag Authentication program?  If not than maybe you are being punished ...

I and others are quite tired of excuses being made and pointing the finger elsewhere when it is simply not true.

I buy designer handbags from 2nd hand stores and resell.  Some are new without tags some are pre-owned.  They do not come with authentication.  I have been doing this for 10 years with no problem

Here we are again.... another November weekend with minimal sales.  This weekend I've had two sales on Thursday and 2 sales on Saturday.  If they're working on fixing something.... It's not working!

I hear ya!! Visibility has diminished here considerately since whatever they did in May..it collapsed..other sites, my sales have been consistent, why..because my items are seen!  EBAY please fix this!!!

@nilis13   I think the underlying issue is that they do not know how to fix it.  Last year May through October I set all kinds of new sales highs ... this year only one of those months set a new high.  This year, 2022, through October I am 9.95 % behind the previous year ... while that does not seem like a big number the issue is previous years saw growth OVER previous years so factoring in that LOST growth rate the % is much higher ... couple that with as things sagged mid-year I had to move inventory to other venues so those values also contribute to what DIDN'T sell on eBay.

Now, its is not the economy because if it were then I would be acquiring tons of inventory from the venues I buy from and have lots and of lots to sell ... the opposite has been reality.  Inventory is highly competitive now and while I prefer selling on eBay if they don't have a workable sell through rate I have to move my items elsewhere when the opportunity presents itself.

maybe some stats are not all wonky as mine have been but noticed it since last weekend, one hour they show negative next hour they are all up in positive

I suspect they are gearing up for Cyber Monday ... it's a bigger shopping day than Black Friday ... in the meantime, we all suffer lost sales.

The impressions on my current PLS are lagging ... I had good success with PLS for about 6 weeks back in Sept - October but now the campaigns are not performing like they were ... didn't change a thing on my end and actually added new inventory ... errrnnnt!

My new campaign started 2 days ago, 24 clicks now, impressions for yesterday total 23,046 on my graph, 1 sale yesterday. It's the numbers for stats above the graph that have all been wonky example: current impressions say down 0.64% yet last night they were 173% positive clicks say down 2.51% last night don't remember the number but it was high positive... The differences maybe coming change they made in PL stats were they could counting only by the day so in morning they will show negative by night they should be positive - only reason I can think they are doing this now since last weekend(?)

@nuclearomen  On day 3 of 7 I have 795 Clicks and 12 sales ... sales are about 50% off where they should be especially since it is the weekend ...

clicks were higher per Nov I'll say that - but with PLs being so messed up lately I have ended and created new campaigns several times since Nov 1st just to try and get working right. Impressions have performed as normal but clicks are down... really nothing I can do, ending create new doesn't fix the internal programming issues of course.
