Please, report here if you recently within a week or so experienced sudden drop in sales. We can then ask Velvet to pass it on to technical team for review of the accounts. https://community.ebay.com/t5/Selling/Updates-are-happening-to-some-item-specifics-and-category/m-p/...

interesting.
I really want to try it.
Thanks bro....
@aqeeqsouq welcome, keep in mind, this was with creating a new fresh PLS campaign + adjusting rates + creating new listings... idk and i cannot say if one particular thing helps or the combo of all...really idk, just over the course of 2-3 weeks I was doing "things" to try get things back to "normal" - but, if doing it may help someone else, then awesome, if not, sorry, but i don't think trying is a waste either. Experiment.
P.S. some of those rings you peddle are pretty cool, hope get some sales!

I just looked at my service metrics for August...... while my return % fell so did the entire average % of the category.
The service metric average fell about 25% which the way I read it.......if people are returning less they are also buying less..... A LOT less.
So for sporting goods I would say at least an overall 25% reduction in sales. That it the MINIMUM number.

I think it will work, but if not, we will gain more experience to create better ideas in future, and no blame on you.
I've question if you don't mind, I still using ebay old listing tool, i didn't change it to the new listing tool, because i read several posts complaining about the new listing tool (especially @mr_lincoln posts).
So do you think is good idea to i keep listing by old listing tool, or i should change into the new tool.??
Thanks..

@aqeeqsouq I used the new tool for few months, ultimately I opted out and went back to the old tool, new tool sucks...especially when you use templates, update templates for new tool and ignores half of those template specifics...so personally, if asking "what is better" my answer is Old Tool hands down - if asking what will help sales old or new - idk... just got sick of dealing with the new so went back to the old.
As for experimenting with listings - I have enough listings with listings ending every day so allows me to end listings create new ones without worry to if that is going to rid every watcher on every item i have... personally i care less, if they buy I care.

@aqeeqsouq My advice for now is stick to the old tool ... I am not convinced that the new tool improves visibility, and it has enough issues that it will do nothing but frustrate you.
Supposedly they will eventually force the new tool on all Sellers but I suspect since so many have logged legitimate complaints about it that they may be working on it opposed to pushing more accounts in to using it.

hopefully it gets better

Well things are screwed up again. For a few days my listings showed up in searches, now they don't. I had items that consistently sold 2-3 a week. Last several months, 1 or 2 sales total. Un believable!!!!

It's the economy. People across the whole world are complaining. Gas/food/rent prices went up for no reason basically.
Everyone who is noticing is saying it started in May 2022.

@dealzerauctions If that were completely true then I would be acquiring inventory at an increased rate and at a much lower price since I purchase at auctions ... and that just isn't happening.

That will eventually happen as People get desperate. It just started recently. People complaining all over in every industry.

Inflation is a cycle event - its happened before, when the current finally settles and things go down some, it will eventually happen again. The rate of it (speed) happening now is the more concern.

I'd responded to these claims numerous times and provided graphs alongside other statistics to show this isn't the case.
But let's just entertain the idea for a moment. If the economy is responsible for the changes people are seeing now, does that mean the economy improved 27.2% within the last 30 days?

Me personally i think Google is behind a lot of this due to their May 2022 update. If you try to Google something it only shows so many items now from different Businesses . Its called pay to play and if you not paying Google to play, your not being seen on Google. I don't think Ebay is paying Google very much to be seen at the moment. Now for Ebay sellers that are throwing Ebay money to be seen on Ebay, then Ebay puts those items up front for the buyers that are on Ebay already. Its just what im seeing. If your NOT paying Ebay extra to be seen, then go to Google and see if you can find your item or how hard is it to find your item and let me know.

EBay is changing things on that front, in multiple ways.
Not only do statistics show they've been tweaking things in terms of off-eBay impressions...
A month or two back eBay also seemed to have "mistakenly" released their beta for a new ad system where they are going to make SELLERS pay for eBay to market on Google.
Meaning they're taking a percentage from us right now in PLS promotions that is partially being used to promote on Google.
And PLA is being charged at HIGHER PAY PER CLICK RATES THAT GOOGLE to advertise your stuff per click on eBay.
But soon, Google ads will not be included in PLS and will be a separate payment.
Oh, and you don't have control over how eBay uses your Google investment, you just pay them and it's up to them. (I've made a post about this upcoming system in the past).
-----
This is besides the fact that, once eBay repaired the issues they had on the statistics page with promoted impressions/views/etc not adding up correctly, things started functioning normally again. One of the strongest indicators we have of a problem. A variable related to measuring promoted/organic impressions was clearly switched somewhere and wreaking havoc.
