Please, report here if you recently within a week or so experienced sudden drop in sales. We can then ask Velvet to pass it on to technical team for review of the accounts. https://community.ebay.com/t5/Selling/Updates-are-happening-to-some-item-specifics-and-category/m-p/...

Low sales for me . High fees. A lot of returns and cancellations. Account glitching. I get 100 combined daily views when it used to be 150+. Get impressions mostly when i sleep (suggests items being displayed to foreign countries (different time zone) which get barely sales. 3-5 days without sale then 2 sales (that cover return or cancellation).

Its now October sales are not even making store fees!

Since the May debacle my sales have never rebounded. If I have 1 sale a week, it's a sad win, 2 is a fleeting moment of joy. For what it's worth, I sent a tweet to @xznyc (Xiaodi Zhang) the new VP of Seller Experience. Recommended that she do a deep dive into this thread. Someone at Ebay should be reading this forum regularly. That Ebay is ignoring a systemic horror is unconscionable. The person who should be paying attention is Mazen Rawashdeh, CTO, but we're most likely beneath him.

The new listing tool doesn't help! It's a joke! WHY WHY WHY change things that are not broken! Okay so they added the video, I think that during the time they recreated the new listing tool page, this helped to tank sales as well! Too many changes, and for no good reason. PL is a joke, I tried that with two listings, still couldn't find my listing on different browsers, then when it did come up, it took me to a page with a bunch of listings on eBay, and my PL was like third. To answer another question brought up here in these comments, is the new seller! If they accept eBay's ridiculous 30 day returns, one day shipping, etc, their listings will be put above a seller that's been on eBay for 20 years! That's a joke! The classic example is sports cards! 30 day return, really, sport cards are big business almost a commodity! They don't know what they are doing at eBay! Ask the vintage post card sellers! clothing sellers, you name it, they all have complaints that fall on deaf ears. Lastly – enough with the cute sayings, this is serious, they treat us like children – we don't need to read these dumb feel good remarks posted after our comments, please eBay take this problem seriously – we are hurting, some of us make our living this way, rent is due!

Yes please add me to the list, the month of June I had zero sales, and its gone down hill. I though it would start picking up for Christmas, but I am beginning to wonder.

@debbie6438 The new tool was and continues to be an example of poor programming with functions that don't even work. I think it does NOT work well with the algorithms which may be part of the problem with a drop in consistent sales or lack there of. One of the biggest issues is the UPC field ... after putting in HUNDREDS of known good UPC codes I still get the error message "Not a match" ... yep, EVERY .... SINGLE ... TIME .... almost a year's worth of seeing that ridiculous error message.
So, if the tool does not find a UPC match do you think the algorithms will?!?

Excellent Point! Here's another dumb thing, when I list a record they require the name of the artist. Okay, fine, the artists that I sell are from 1880 to 1950! They are 78rpm singles, the only names that ever come up as a suggestion of artists from that time period are Benny Goodman, Glenn Miller, etc. But when I type in Andy Kirk, nothing comes up! So why doesn't eBay's carnivore system retain these other artists that I have to add in. That never happens, most artists suggested are from 1960 to the present! How lame is that? More work for no good reason when the first thing on the listing is the artist name! Dumb!

@debbie6438 lol... ebay's system doesn't recognize near any artists - seriously! I do newer music then you, metal genres, and their system never - and i do mean never, recognize any artist I type in...but it doesn't have to, just have to type it in and that's that. Just as they don't recognize many upc's.

We surely have a Silent Partner in this business. When I signed on eBay wrote on behalf of being My SELLING PARTNER. Silence in Not Golden in this case e Bay!

The new "system" works fine for phone sellers of new commodity merch, but eBay is making it clear they don't want us vintage sellers around. They aren't directly spelling it out, but I don't need Daniel to read what's on the wall.

I thought the Not a Match popup meant it couldn't add it to a product page or something.
I'd rather they didn't find a match, frankly, but if the popup is as useless as it appears to be, I'd rather they just remove it because all it does is get in the way of the listing flow (or what little flow there is on this new thing).

It's totally useless to vintage sellers, for whom it never finds a match anyway. And if it does, it's the wrong item! The old system kept trying to put things into the wrong categories instead; I'm not sure which is worse.

Here's an interview with the CTO from September. You can listen to the whole thing, but I recommend starting around 16:00. Take away from his comments what you will. My eyes rolled over most of it.

i listened to about 1 min before got bored.... that's one boring person to listen to lol.
but see he is in charge of "platform engineering and the Company’s infrastructure and platform architecture, as well as AI" - so all this cruddy horrid web design and bad search engine is HIS fault?!

Yes, the buck stops in his lap. What got me was his repeating buyers could find items not available anywhere else, ie, the old-time sellers of collectible and vintage stuff. Also, the use of the word "customer". To me sellers are ebay's customers. Buyers are the seller's customers. And supposedly Ebay facilitates getting those buyers to the sellers. I did laugh when the interviewer stating that when he used it, it did not seem like a place he'd buy anything. 0.0
