Sudden drop in sales May 2022

@zamo-zuan looks like there is a new problem with page view counter. Before it was not counting actual views for about 1 in 10 - now seems it's not counting any views at all. I had over 20x people view a new listing today when I noticed the view counts still at 0 approx 2 hours after listed... so tested myself with incognito window and same thing, signed out repeat, same thing.... so had some people view it and - same thing, count remains at zero views - when by now should be over 30.

I would keep an eye on it for a day or 2 and see if it updates later. Sometimes eBay's statistic update is slow... But definitely keep me posted on if it resolves itself or not!

So last night as testing, I decided to end the listing and relist it and see what happens, repeat what I did with first listing but with less people, 6x viewed the listing for me + myself incognito & logged out - result = zero views again, check this morning, same thing. Also item I had 263 views on last night is now showing 252 - I know ebay said the view count can change but overnight... the views are suppose to reset to zero once a month - not change like like in 6 hours. 

EDIT: also another issue with counts - but via PLS campaign - items that sold and more quantity was added after that those PL listings say 0 for amount sold - shows 1 or whatever for only few items... those listings sold on PL so that's wrong also.

@zamo-zuan I called CS and reported the view count issue, had them view several listings on their own ebay account to check it for themselves also, same thing, none of the views were counted. They made a ticket - we'll see if anything happens - you know how it is - don't be surprised if amounts to nothing. Further - those uncounted views directly impact PL organic impressions - so while those views aren't being counted at same time impressions should be generating are lacking as well. 

As for the PL sold counts...rep said that those counts reset every 30 days just like view counter on listings do, so those that should say x amount sold will say 0 since I didn't sell those particular items since the 1st of the month.

@nuclearomen   This whole Views counting issue may be the reason my GTC listing sales have fallen off the face of the earth compared to how it was in 2021 be earlier.  Last weekend I sold quite a few Auction listings, many of which were sought after items ... it really boosted my weekend sales ... but without those sales it would have been another below average weekend.   Very, very few GTC listings sold ... 

So I am waiting to see what this weekend brings and it "usually" starts Thursday nights when activity starts to pick up ...you know MORE Views and MORE Watchers added to listings.

Earlier this year I was seeing the pattern I described and I had a several week period where most of my sales came from Auctions and Offers I sent to Watchers.  very, very few GTC sales.   

Things got so bad at one point in 1st Quarter I diverted about 1/3 of my inventory to another venue ... that has ALL been sold.  This month sales have come back a little but the previous three months were really bad. 

I am sure they keep "tweaking" the algorithms to find some kind of an increase in sales groove for those not selling sneakers, purses or other high value market products they were targeting ...

@mr_lincoln  all i know is that i only do GTC and my sales were great for months on end until all this started 2-3 months ago, even then sales were OK, down, but OK, last month though it's been horrible. This month started out good, sales everyday again from 8th-15th, 1st-3rd was nill, then sale, then a day no sales, then good...and now...dead again since 15th... oh, but it's covid I forgot lol

Same here!! the page view counter seems not working in order - I list 5 new items 12 hours ago (3 are hot items) and had view the new 5 items by using another device, the result is all 0 views after 12 hours but 1 hot item indicates there is 1 watcher but 0 view??? (this is a complete new item so definitely there will be no accumulated watcher)

Both sales/views had big drop start from April/May after eBay change the page view counter and now even get much more worser!! The old problem is NOT solved and now more new issue/glitches are found~~~

Agree, not at all solved. Been downhill for me since the May updates . Diversifying now, no choice. Can't continue like this. Nothing getting fixed as my sales continue to flounder...
