Subscriber Discounts - NOT keeping pace with inflation!!! Not happy here!

devon@ebay , elizabeth@ebay kyle@ebay

The eBay Branded Supply folks finally got the box size in I prefer ... so when I went to buy my normal 2 cases of 25 boxes my Subscriber Discount came whoafully short of giving me any purchasing advantage.  1 case would mean left over unusable coupon value and 2 boxes would push my Price per box over $ 2.00 ...

I used to be able to get the same thing for 22 cents per box and then it climbed to 47 cents per box ... at $ 2 per box it is worthless and not using the entire coupon is worthless too, I would just rather get $ 50 off one month's Store Subscription and then I will get my boxes elsewhere ...

When is eBay going to man up and raise the Subscriber discounts to offset inflation increases???  I was pretty disgusted when I went through the process this evening and simply closed the page.  Not helping Sellers is NOT contributing to "enhancing the Buying experience" (eBay credo) in my view.

So am I unhappy about this, yes, no sense trying to hide the truth.

And no, I am not interested in buying stuff I don't want, would never use, just to fill out the coupon value if I only buy one case of boxes instead of 2 ...

The $ 50 per quarter Premium Store coupon needs to be raised to somewhere between $ 75 and $ 100 AND be done before the end of 1st quarter this year.  That would NOT break eBay's pocketbook and would be a nice show of support for Sellers ... i am surprised this hasn't already been done to be honest.

I like eBay. I have been selling on eBay for many years, but I feel they are running out of (FEE) ideas that they are double dipping right now and will probably triple dip in the near future.  They need to think of some cash stream that doesn't come as seller fees.

I agree, I miss the 6x4x4 boxes. They were high quality and fit perfectly into USPS padded flat rate bubble mailers which has saved me boat loads of money when shipping heavy small items. The 6x 4 3/4 x 4 3/4 boxes are bigger and do not fit into the PFRE, and they are heavier for shipping low cost light weight FC items and they are complete trash when it comes to quality.

I think that Ebay labels are cheaper when I input dimensions of the ebay branded boxes. They may have cut the deal with shippers.

And if they didn’t that would be a nice gesture.

It's actually more of a loss than a benefit to use the coupon since eBay has drastically increased the prices of their shipping supplies (the $25 Basic Store coupon used to cover the entire cost of cheaper items, like padded envelopes, but now everything is $35 and up). I also miss the days when Top Rated Plus Sellers got 20% off their Seller Fees instead of 10% along with bigger shipping discounts.
