Our county has over 1/2 million people in it ... thus far there are 10 confirmed cases of Covid-19 and no deaths.
Our State has 67 counties and 27 have no reported cases. 2 Weeks of limited contact seems to be helping but my feeling is that rural areas that are seeing few confirmed cases may feel like they are stuck in neutral ... I know I do.
Many sources for inventory have closed ... online estate and auction houses are still holding auctions but stating they will retain everybody's items until the restrictions are lifted and their regular offices resume again. That's not really a solution, putting out $$ for inventory but having no clue when you might get it?
Non-Life Sustaining businesses have to be closed but pot shops and liquor stores remain open ... what is up with that?
I am anticipating that we will be put under these constraints again for another 2 weeks ... to sometime in early April.

That’s good but drug’s alcohol can also cause domestic violence, and other crimes during a crisis period so keep it to a minimum.

People are making comparisons that exposure to Covid is an acceptable risk, on line with driving a car, or living with seasonal flu. It is not, it is more dangerous and that was my point.
My daughter is a nurse in Ohio. Why in the greatest nation in the world, lead by the smartest man in the world who has the biggest brain, can't get medical personal PPE, boggles my ancient mind. My husband bought her a gowns, that should cost no more than 6.00 for 83.00 each the other day. A face mask from 3M that went for 1.25, is now 7.00.
The federal government is buying them all up and driving up the price, yet they are not reaching the front line workers.

Just got this over the new
united states - cases 55,330 - recovered 379 - deaths 804 so far
deaths compared to Italy are relatively low but it's just getting here

@my-cottage-books-and-antiques I re-read my original post and realized I did not break out that statement about pot shops and liquor store from the PA Covid-19 stats as originally intended ... that was from a news report from another state, will be more clear in the future.

It wasn’t intended for you. Yours was just the end post when I posted.

Excellent point for the current Covid-19 but in the future countries of the world have to ban together and let China know that the wild animal wet markets they have allowed to operate need to be shut down of maybe the rest of world will cut off travel to and from China each year from November to April ... It's the government, NOT the people. And think about this, do you think their government refrained from buying up millions and millions of dollars worth of stock with the recent stock market crash because they felt guilty about starting Covid-19???

Being shut in with kids, no money, no food, and fear....... all can and will lead to domestic violence.

We here in Ohio have been issued a "shelter in place" order by the governor. But we have been assured that law enforcement won't be checking cars on the street to make sure their destination is one of those that are allowed.
And if, for instance, I am stopped and tell the officer I am driving to my pharmacy to pick up my meds, is he going to follow me there to make sure I am not lying?
And, as for walkers, stopping them is absurd. We are encouraged to get exercise and we have to walk our dogs.
Shouldn't law enforcement have more important duties?
I'm in Chicago, near the notorious West Side. As I mentioned, the police seem to be stopping only people walking together without an obvious reason, not the ones with kids or dogs. Most of the populace is following the shelter in place - but the criminals seem to think that makes it open season for street crime. I doubt that anyone is being "followed" by the police. But apparently the criminals are following potential victims. We are not under the "written and approved pass" system that Paris and Spain are, nor are we getting immediate L30 fines such as the London police are levying. We are being protected by our (predominately) outstanding and dedicated police force.

Everybody wants to blame the government or Trump, when in reality it's the hospital systems who were not prepared. The same huge conglomerates that have been buying up smaller hospitals, cutting costs, personnel, and supplies to the core, and issuing the CEO's and executives huge bonuses every year based on how much money they saved. All at the cost of healthcare workers and patients. The government can't stockpile millions of everything that might come into future need.

I think you may be quite right about this.
In fact, I think I may have already had this virus.
Where I live (in the middle of Silicon Valley) people travel(ed) constantly to and from China--for business, for pleasure, to visit relatives. Elderly relatives are brought over from China regularly for 2-3 month stays. There is a large Asian population in my neighborhood.
If the virus was circulating in China in November and December, it makes sense that when I shopped, talked to people in the park, went to public venues, and did my regular high-school volunteer job, I would have been exposed. In early January I got a very strange (for me) cold--no runny nose, just coughing and coughing and coughing, a low-grade fever, and I was tired. It lasted over two weeks, and I thought I had developed bronchitis.
Maybe I did have bronchitis, but I am wondering...
