Did you see an increase in sales when you went to a store on Ebay vs. just listing? Advantages or disadvantages? TY

Store vs. Listing Only?

As far as I know the store vs listing question is a financial one, not a visibility issue at all.

Of course, I have had more total sales with a store simply because it was 250 vs 50 listings per month.   However, on a percentage basis on average I sell about 6-10% of my listings per month with a store and 12-15% without a store and no promos.     But a couple months of the year (usually May and June) - that $24.95 store fee  eats a big hole in the profits for the month. 

 

Basically,  it depends on what you sell and at what price point as to whether a store is a good option.

I have a store because the math on savings for listing fees made sense for me.  I also like the shipping supply coupon and ability to put my items on vacation and on sale.  

 

I have a non-store ID and the comparison on sales mainly relates to the number of listings I have in one versus the other.

I agree with everyone else. It is strictly a financial decision.

Before you even make the decision ... make sure that your listing/selling limits allow you to list enough to make a store worth while.

 

It makes no sense to have a store if you can only list 50 items a month.

Promotions Manager

Shipping Supples Coupon

 

The only downside to store listings ... adding BIN to an auction is not free.

 

If you only look at it as listing fees, I created this breakdown of where the lines are for listing fees.
