Store subscriptions question.

Thanks in advance for your input. I know I posted this question some time ago but cannot find it now. So here goes!

I am paying The Basic $7.95 Store subscription now and I know that I can do the $4.95 month by selecting it for a year. 

I was under the impression that I could still sell on Ebay without the Store  Subscriptions. I would like to end my store but leave my items up for sale. It may cost me a bit more for fee's but not sure.

Can I do this or will Ebay shut down my items once I drop the store subscriptions.

Also I cannot find away to drop the subcription and can only find a close store which says they will delete the items after store is closed. am I reading this right or will my items still be listed until they sell or I remove them.

Your items will remain if you stop your store subscription. The bad part is you will pay a penalty for ending the subscription you ageed to when you signed up for it.

For $7.95 you get a Starter Store not a Basic, there really isn't any fee advantage with a Starter Store and you don't get any additional listings included.

You can dump the Starter Store and nothing material will change. dumping the Store will not affect your current listings in any way.

Dropping the store subscription will not affect your current listings. Just keep in mind that they might charge you some fee for cancelling the store subscription. However, your items will stay listed until they sell or you end the listing.

Thanks for all the input. Where do I go to stop the subscription? I am on the $7.95 per month not the $495 yearly, so I shouldn't get charged anything except my final month.

I just can't find how to cancel the Store Subscription..

You are correct and the above posters are wrong: There will be no early termination fee, because you are on a month-to-month commitment, not an annual subscription.  You have already been billed for January, so if you cancel before January 31 there will be no more subscription fees to pay.  As others have correctly said, your listings will not be removed.

Thanks much for all the input. Here is what I see happens if I close my store.

"What happens to my fees when I close my eBay Store?

Starting on the first day of the month after you cancel, your store fees and benefits will no longer apply. At that point, we’ll start charging standard fees for any new or renewed listings."

Does this mean I will be charged more for my listings or do I still get the 250 free listings. Will I pay more for sold items in fees.

Sellers with no store subscription get 250 free insertions per month.

Final value fees are the same in most categories for sellers with no store and sellers with a Starter store.
