I own a basic store subscription. The amounts do not reset when the month expires. eBay is supposed to reset these limits every month. I have to call and manually request a limit increase that I have already paid for. The basic store promotion on the seller hub does not work.
What is going on? I don't sell huge volumes of stuff, but I do between 2 and 5 per week. I want to know why my basic store limits are not being provided per month? Why do I need to call every time the months subscription is up?

They don't reset them but when eBay does your monthly sellers dash board review
they also review your limits and raise them if they think it is appropriate to do so.
As long as your account stays above standard they will raise them automatically.

I haven't noticed a problem. Are you saying that if on March 31 you had used 250 out of 1000 listings that on April 1, it would still say that you had used 250 listings?

Your listing limits aren't related to whether you have a Store subscription. You can see the discussion and check your own limits here:

Are you talking about your selling limits or number of a available store listings?

There is not a such thing as "a limit increase that I have already paid for."
A store subscription does not buy any type of selling limits. It only provides an amount of listings that don't have listing fees.
If you are having successful sales, you can request dollar and item limit increases every 30 days or so.
Whatever you have listed still at the end of the month will always still count against your dollar and item listing limits. It does not reset every month.
Once you sell successfully, steadily sell, at times eBay will even up your limits without your having to ask. It just takes some time to get traction on eBay.

When I first bought the store subscription, which IS a fixed dollar and item amount, I did not get the 250 / 1500. Then when I didn't get my purchase the second month I called. Jan-Feb was fine. Then Feb rolled through but I carried my totals with me. So I ended with 260 item limit with 1600 dollar. March also came and went and i was still at 260/1600 which is fine but I though it was 260/1600 per month allotment not a one off.

Currently, you've listed or sold 8,470 items of your 32,007 monthly limit. You can list or sell up to US $401,618.00 more to reach your US $525,000.00 monthly limit
ABOVE STATEMENT shows I have selling limit available. Still I am not able to list.
During July 2024 i reduced quantity of all Items from 10 to 5. Still I was unable to add any item.
I suffered huge losses during July and kept waiting for new month.
Today on 01 August I am still not able to list any item.
"It looks like you've reached the amount you can list. You can list up to Rs.43,962,485.35 in total sales this month. Request to list more"
