Right on to eBay for the permanent increase in zero-insertion fee listings for store owners.
Hopefully, with increased listings, comes an increase in the maximum number of categories.
For instance, I am a premium store operator and I have used 290 of the 300 available categories.
Can't imagine not needing more than 300 categories with the possibility of 50,000 additional listings.

Sorry, I did not hear about this. Are they going to give us additional listings to the store categories? -Thx

Less is more, if that was my store it would be under 50 categories but definitely 100 or less.
Time to go through existing cats and delete those that have no items in them, many of your categories have very few listings (3-4 or less)... Time to take similar categories with few items and make them into one.
Bam!
Also location codes such as cbgc1 goes in the code as a remark so it's hidden from view.
I know a lot of sellers do it but leaving this in the title is just sloppy.
Html:
<!–– LOCATION cbgc1 ––>

I had no idea there was a maximum? What is it?
I have less than 250 items listed and i have 35 categories.
I would think you would have to sell a ton of (different) stuff to need more than say 40 or 50 categories.

I wonder if the max # includes the sub categories?
I somehow doubt I'll ever get even close to finding out.
