The two new listings I posted this morning were both auto-filled in the description with generic language and wrong assumptions. How do I turn off this feature that was obviously imposed on me without asking or notification?
Thank you.

If you are selling new items, the insertion of the (often incorrect) information is related to the ebay catalog and entering the barcode number(s) when posting. I think they provide you with an "stock" catalog photo as well.
I don't know if any progress has been made in this area, but ebay often does not take into account that these numbers are often reused on other products, reused for different versions etc., and thus the "car part" showing up as a pair of orange socks.
You may wish to consult the many threads on this other board:

Keep in mind ebay still holds the seller responsible for what is in the listing even if it is forced by ebay and incorrect. In addition, they stated that items in the ebay catalog would not be allowed to "go live" unless those UPC etc. codes were used. Good luck with this.
