Starting August 2024, HTTP EPS links will not be supported. What needs to be done?

I'm getting this message on hundreds of my listings when I relist. Not at all sure what to do about this, if anything at all. Any advice is appreciated.

  • eBay Picture Service (EPS) URL links are now required to be HTTPS links. HTTP links are converted to HTTPS links right now. Starting August 2024, HTTP EPS links will not be supported.

Re: Starting August 2024, HTTP EPS links will not be supported. What needs to be done?

I had an eps cannot mix with jpeg warning when I listed via vendoo but forgot to include a picture, so I added it in ebay and the error comes out. I fixed it by removing all images and reupload them straight to ebay. So if your using 3rd party they might be doing it.

my only concern is last time ebay messed with images I lost photos on my live listings that was over 5k listings I have to do redo. I still havent fixed it all as some still has one picture left.

I expect ebay to mess it up this time again.

Re: Starting August 2024, HTTP EPS links will not be supported. What needs to be done?

Sorry to drag this up again. Can some kind soul provide an idiot's guide to what needs to be done when eBay bring in this change? Most of my sales are photographs which I took. I scanned them and used the scans in my listings. Now, every so often I see a little blue triangle when I'm listing and this (to me) incomprehensible message from eBay pops up.

I don't understand why some listings attract this attention and some don't when they've all been listed in exactly the same way.

Thanks in advance!

Re: Starting August 2024, HTTP EPS links will not be supported. What needs to be done?

I have been getting this message now for about a month: eBay Picture Service (EPS) URL links are now required to be HTTPS links. HTTP links are converted to HTTPS links right now. Starting August 2024, HTTP EPS links will not be supported.

Firstly all my images are jpg's and probably obtained in the same way all of us do by using a camera for the images and then uploading onto a computer in my case an iMac. Which i've being doing for 24 years

I have just spoken to an eBay agent and was told the images need to be jpeg which mine are already.

So I tried saving again up loading the image and still got the same message.

I was told to save the image as a png but still got the same error message.

Unless everything changes in August as stated in the error message and jpeg's will be ok.
