Start into 2023

Sakes seem dead for me. It seems that there is no traffic at all so barely any views. How did you start New Year?  Any better?

Re: Start into 2023

How many people buying parts for a Mercedes are doing it on New Years Day (or the day after)?

Personally I would not think about looking at how my sales numbers for 2023 are doing until at least the end of January.

Re: Start into 2023

It's only 48 hours into the new year.

Re: Start into 2023

So far, three items. Two from New Years day, and one from this morning.

Hope to do much better than last year.

Re: Start into 2023

In 41  years of selling never found that buyers would order stuff as fast as I wanted them to.  But when they did they wanted it now.  Patience is needed.  Especially when  a holiday, a hangover falls on a weekend and people that flew on Southwest are still trying to find their luggage.

Re: Start into 2023

I watch my sales in a moving 30 day average. For the period 12/3 to 1/3 I am spot on my average for the previous 90. Not counting this ID, which I have not been listing much since Labor Day therefore expect sales to be few and far between. Still, had a few sales on this one in the last week to 10, not bad for having less than a dozen items on it.

Re: Start into 2023

If we're going by only into the 3rd day of a New Year I've had 3 on here and 2 on Bonanza, which, if you know Bonanza, says something about how well ebay is doing.

Re: Start into 2023

Last year got 47 sales in january and had sales right off the bat.

I didn’t have sales for several last days (some sales followed by cancelation and return). It felt Ebay was out of service but looking at stock today it looks like it was out of service for me . Yesterday I got 60 views total when 150-200 is normal for me.
The way you start off new year the way it is supposed to continue throughout. I do worry.

Re: Start into 2023

Hi!

I am still doing good on other sites. I was really hoping for a little break & I just sold 60 more items. I do not list heavy items here. You would think they would/could give us a better shipping deal like other sites do. I really would like a 2 day break from packing items. Maybe next week  I will have one🍀🙏

Re: Start into 2023

Thanks for the tip on Bonanza. I think I will list a bunch of books that don't fit the two categories I have on e-bay.

Re: Start into 2023

I had slow sales the week before Xmas.

Then, huge sales between Xmas and New Years Eve.

Then it dropped. Zero New Years Day, yesterday and started this morning with nothing. 2 Days 0; but today is a new day.

Looking at the weather, many people in many states have other issues to worry about (not counting Xmas spent, economy etc.)

After 12 years, I've learned- it always 'comes around'. Buyers that are meant to buy, will buy. Might not be this week, but it will be next week or next month.

Re: Start into 2023

@s.scharmu0 , are you aware that your listings show Pick Up Only, even though you also offer a shipping option?
