Sponsored seller ads showing up twice on a page.

I can understand a sponsored sellers ad keep moving to the top but I fail to understand how it is right for their ad to show up twice on the same page (in the search I did it was the first page, could be different page depending on the number of items shown in the search)  This is not the first time I have notice it. That amounts to double posting of the same ad which is against Ebays rules.

What possible reason could Ebay have for doing this time and time again????!?!?!?!!!

I suspect it is because experience tells them that the vast, vast, vast majority of sellers will never notice. And even if they do, won't leave because of it.

I believe the poster was suggesting a reason for the lack of 'forthcomingness' (hmmm, is that a word?) and lack of complete accuracy and description of the 'roll-out'.

Just my opinion, though.

Not saying 'NO' doesn't mean 'YES'.

The foolishness of one's actions or words is determined by the number of witnesses.

Perhaps if Brains were described as an APP, many people would use them more often.

We were speaking to post #28 and my response to that post.  Then the OP responded to me as they did not like my post.  I do believe they took my post in a way I never intended.

Unfortunately, that can happen all too easily, sometimes.  One is thinking along one track, but the train heads off in another direction.  I hate it when that happens!

A general reply about promoted listings:

If eventually no matter what search parameters are used a listing will only show once, never twice, then it is entirely possible that eBay may show only the promoted listings and thus every sale of those will incur higher fees.  About the time that I see that occurring with my listings, it will be time to end all the promotions.

List more, sell more. Goodwill that other, uh, stuff.

Feeling sleepy? There's an app for that.
