Change item to local pickup

At Thanksgiving I had someone ask about an item, indicating they were interested in a book I have for sale and that they would be in our area. I sent a few more pictures and they went silent. Now they are here in town 5 minutes away, and want to pick the book up today or tomorrow. Do I just change the listing to local pickup, then mark the item as paid? What are the exact steps to take to indicate it has been sold and paid for so eBay can take their cut?

Change item to local pickup

The buyer need to buy the item online and then bring cash when they come to pick it up.

Click on Send Invoice in the drop down menu to the right of the item. You can adjust shipping there. Then after the item is picked up for cash, go to the same menu to mark as shipped and paid.

OK, thanks! Didn't occur to me to have them buy the item before they get here. You both have been a big help.

@pvcliff

Best would be to send the invoice with the only option as Local Pickup Only.

That way, you don't have to worry about a tracking # or anything, and just collect the cash when they pick it up.
