Here's some things I see all. the. time. in one of my main categories (dinnerware)-
Seller lists an item, say one dinner plate. They say in their description that they have eight available. Or they say they have more items in the same pattern available. ASQ if you have any questions.
I also see listings for one plate, but listing shows multiple quantity, say four plates available. Ok, fine. I see the closed listing (price check) and see that one plate sold and the listing has been ended by the seller because the item is no longer available. One sold, three in the wind somewhere....but not on ebay.
On one hand, I get that I should be able to do as I wish with my merchandise. On the other hand, seeing this kind of thing annoys me to no end.
These are sellers with hundreds, if not thousands of active listings. Thousands of feedback. Premium and Anchor store-level sellers.
I've never had much luck selling singles, so I offer lots. WYSIWYG lots. I say "See my store for more of this great pattern...."
Have seen these things three times already today, and I'm only on my 3rd cup of coffee.
Interestingly enough, I recently tried to type the words "Paypal payment" into a message to a buyer regarding shipping address. Bells, alarms, flashing lights, everything but an electric shock. Well, metaphorically anyways....Those words in that order were not allowed. Huh.
Déjà Moo: The strange feeling that I've heard this bull before...
