I've noticed some of my posts/replies are spaced out.
Like this one.
It wont let me put lines together.
Is anyone else experiencing this?

This is one of the great updates that ebay kept secret

It appears that Khoros has tweaked the BBC (bulletin board code) that is used on these boards. Now, the enter key is formatted to start a new line with double spacing, which is typically used for a new paragraph.
Until this started, the enter key formatted a new line with single spacing, so most of us just automatically pressed the enter key twice to start a new paragraph.
If you really just want a new line, single spaced, then [shift][enter] will do that for you:
like this
and this.
Just using the [enter] key gives you a new line with double spacing:
like this
and this.

Interesting. I'm going to try it too. It doesn't appear to be doing it, when I look at what I am typing. Will see what happens when I post it. As mentioned above, could it be iPad, or laptop, situation. I am using a PC.

See the tag biggy, it's black and not red, this started yesterday, I thought it was my settings on my phone. One more thing to drive me nuts!

This is not worth getting upset over. Take a deep breath, and have some chocolate.

Thanks for bringing this to our attention @inhawaii and the tag @dhbookds. nicole@ebay has created a ticket for this.

Yes same issue and it started the morning of 9/27.
If you hit the return/enter key it double spaces.
Another fine update

A ticket has been issued so don't worry this will be fixed sometime next year

That is a lot of pressure! Just say it will be fixed "sometime" 😁

It is also affecting old PMs nicole@ebay. PMs that were sent months ago suddenly have double-spacing. I realized this because I opened up an old PM looking for a link.

Another ticket that might be created for Khoros is 'Why did you introduce this change without bothering to tell anyone'?
Instead of a rolling update for people to read about you got one or more problem tickets to handle instead as a result.

As long as you keep on typing and let the text wrap there is not problem which is what I did with this response. Never hit the enter/return key and the post comes out fine. But the minute you hit the return/enter key anywhere while you are typing a response it
will wrap
the text

If anybody is interested (including elizabeth@ebay)
I can show you exactly what the mistake was
that the programmer made and how to fix it
or at least how to sidestep it.
(for the record this double space was deliberate) UNFORTUNATELY
that puts me in the role of that little kid
running down the road yelling
"I know something you don't know"
And let's face, nobody really liked that little brat.
(again deliberate) I can't help but be amused
over the fuss being made over something that is
after all irrelevant.
It's not like you get extra points for style.
(yes, deliberate again)It will take about an hour
to put together the graphics and flow charts
to show the mistake and the workaround
if you really want to see it.
But that assumes I don't hear that dulcit tone "You've got mail"
or the phone
or the doorbell.
(deliberate) Considering the number of times all of you
have collectively provided me with useful advice
it seems only fair.
(yes, deliberate)Care to take a vote on it?

Irrelavent? It's costing me sales! Just like GTC, managed payments and the search not working. 😉
