This was my first sale yesterday. The tickets were must released to me by email in PDF form. Is it acceptable for me to photocopy the pdf scan code to mail to buyer ? Just want to make sure I’m doing this properly before mailing to him. Thanks for your help!

You can mail a hard copy of the PDF to the buyer. IMHO you definitely should.
Generally speaking, if you want to be protected from a claim of "Item Not Received", eBay requires you to mail using a service that provide delivery confirmation,
If these were tickets you bought for yourself and you were unable to attend, hopefully you can recoup some of your investment.
But if you bought these with the purpose of reselling them at a profit, be aware that if the buyer files a claim and says the tickets did not work, eBay will almost certainly take the buyer at his word and you will be required to refund the buyer.

I bought them for myself and was unable to travel to NYC. Sold them at less than half price.
Mailed the photocopies using his label with tracking. Also got a postal receipt of scan .
Thanks for the quick reply.

I didn't think eBay allowed ticket sales.

Technically your listing for this says "for immediate email transfer". eBay protections are in place for items you ship via mail but if the buyer decides to get nasty, they can file a claim because you mailed them while your listing clearly states you will email them.

I can also email them. How to get buyer’s email address? He paid for the postage label that ebay provided. I’m new at this. Please advise!

Look for the listing on your Sold items page. Open the pulldown menu in the Actions column for that item and click on the Order Details. There will be an Ebay email address for that buyer under his contact details section that will be valid for 14 days after the sale. You can send him a message with the PDF as an attachment I think. There is also a phone number for the buyer shown there.
