Hello, 🤗
Social media has become a crucial part of how buyers make their purchase decisions. For eBay sellers, social media marketing is an effective way to get in front of customers early in their shopping process and inspire them to make their purchase from you. 😍
Do you guys use Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, and YouTube to drive greater traffic to your eBay store.
Is that good way to build a traffic? I need some advice from your experience about how to do it effectually. 🤑

I use social media to sell items but I do not, and never will, use it to drive/direct potential buyers to eBay. I simply sell directly from social media platforms often at prices lower than what I can list the item for on eBay simply because there are no fees or lower fees. I am not sure what the laws are in Sri Lanka pertaining to selling on social media but you may want to check into that before you start using the social media sites.
Most sellers on this forum are US based and how we use social media to move merchandise may differ from what you are allowed to do or able to do in Sri Lanka.

It depends entirely upon what you're selling and to whom (your target market), so no one can give you a one-size-fits all answer. To build your own business, you have to do your own work.

It does depend on what you sell. I belong to some Facebook groups related to the Antiques and Collectibles I sell. Some allow posting of items for same and links to eBay some do not or only on certain days, Those post do drive page views for sure. Hard to know if it increases prices (sell mostly via auction). There was a post earlier this week about eBay potentially charging a lower FVF if the sale came through social. So this is on eBay's mind as well.

I do not use social media, but my DD sells from Instagram daily.
You would need to build your social media platform first and allow public vs private access. Start with friends/family - ask them to share. Use good keywords/great pix.
Good luck. It takes time. Be safe out there.
