So i recently sold 4 of the same item. They are a physical item that comes with a code inside each package. So the person that bought them payed instantly but the shipping address does not exist. Then the buyer asks me to just open the packages and jsut send him the codes via email. Now this is most likely a scam because if i did that, the buyer would probaly aask for a refund ad get his money back. Then i would be screwed. The problem is the money he sent me was already spent so i can't cancel the order right now. So this 99% a scam because the address is fake, he wants me to send him something via email, and the whole thing seems fishy. What should i do about this? Should i just them to the fake address with the tracking number anyways?

No, do NOT send the codes. What do you mean the shipping address does not exsist ?

NO that's not how this works.... that's not how any of this works....
Well of course you don't email them the codes....
You can't just spend the money when you sell an item.... paypal has 180 days for a buyer to file a claim. that is six months you have to be able to refund if need be.
I wouldn't ship the items to a fake address.... did you google the address? Why do you say it doesn't exist? If you do ship something make sure it is to the Paypal address, that gives you some protection. I had trouble getting paypal and ebay to accept my real address when I moved, had to have it exactly formatted in the exact order they wanted... not sure how someone uses an address that doesn't exist. Are they located in the U.S.?
I wouldn't find myself in this situation.... but if I was forced to find a way out... not sure I am even allowed to suggest it, so I won't.... But any way this plays out, someone will come for that money, if you don't have it now when will you have the money?
There was never yet an uninteresting life. Such a thing is an impossibility. Inside of the dullest exterior there is a drama, a comedy and a tragedy.

On Paypal, it say the addrees is confirmed but when I try to print the shipping label on eBay, it says the address is invalid. I don't have the money to refund because that money was spent to purchase the items this guy wants and this scammer knows that.

The best thing to do is to call eBay and give them all the same info you shared here and let them handle this for you. They will more than likely cancel the sale and issue the buyer a refund. If you do not have the funds available in your paypal account they will probably bill you for the refund in your monthly bill.
I do not know how they handle things like this but this path I described would handle all the problems.
What ever you do - you should not open any new product and send a code by email. Non of those actions will have a good ending for you. Make sure you tell the CSR person you want to report the buyer for unreasonable demands after the sale.
Good Luck Selling!

So you were selling items you didn't have, intending to buy the items with the money the buyer paid you. So, how did that work out?

Whether the address exists or not does not matter. You are required to ship. So ship to the address given.

Nice "smart" answer but if you actually read the whole sentence, I said that he knew that. so It was agreed upon to do that.

That doesn't mean it's fake.
Look at it and see if you don't see something unusual.
If there's nothing obvious, or no trivial change to make, you don't have much choice but to cancel, problem with buyer's address, which means you have to refund.

Snark isn't goind to help.
You have two choices. Ship or refund.

Yes that is what I would do.
Then as soon as you get the money, send it to him via his paypal address and let him know you did via his personal email.
I understand things happen that the money is needed so this is how you should handle it, JMHO

And again...how well did that work out?
It's really not wise to sell things you don't already have in your possession. Too many things can go wrong. Before you sell things here you really have to think it through. You also have to realize that people LIE and that you cannot believe things that unknown strangers on the internet will tell you.
Maybe I'm too blunt, but I'm just trying to help, FWIW

If you can't print a label, try click n ship from USPS or go to the post office.
You are probably dealing with first class to where there isn't a discount, or hardly a discount, regarding Ebay even if they post otherwise. I sell on two venues so know they tack on $$ to use ebay shipping lables. Much cheaper not using Ebay shipping
