So ebay authenticator just wrongfully returned my 100% authentic YSL kate bag...

No explanation... I would be willing to bet my house on that bag being 100% authentic. At the same time you see those sellers who sell "authentic" brand new $800 chanel bags with free shipping from Russia or Japan or Azerbaidjan flourishing with 100% positive feedback. During a local meeting of ebay sellers in Houston someone said, the moment you subscribe to the anchor store ($400/mo), your problems will disappear and everything will be decided in your favor. Its a pay per play system - extremely reputable seller. Anyone subscribed to anchor and has this been your experience? Any thoughts welcome

Authentication is not just about real/fake, the item also has to exactly match the listing description.

If you have an authentic bag but there is a very minor blemish that is not stated in the listing description it can be rejected.

I think that is where a lot of people get messed up.

The item doesn't fully match the listing, they notice things missing being mentioned, like potential defects, or condition.

There was a post a couple days ago where the seller was complaining that their 100% authentic bag didn't pass.

It wasn't because it wasn't authentic, it was because they didn't describe it right.

They found a couple issues that were not mentioned in the listing and flunked it.

The ops email would have stated either that the bag wasnt authentic, or it didnt match the description. Sounds like it said not authentic.

When they can't authenticate it they are not saying that it's fake, they are just saying they can't say with 100% certainty that it's real.

Big difference.

Yeah I would expect them to err on the side of caution so I don't see these cases as being problematic.
