Is anyone else's eBay sales chart go all the way down? I used to make at least 1500-2000 a day and now barely making 300-600 this is the 3rd day that it's like this and eBay can't provide any answers I'm posting every day nonstop have a sale and promoting my listings with no cap. my store is at a 100 percent no defects or any negative reviews. I just don't understand what the issue can be. Any idea?

Are you kidding me! You can’t find anything! There search engines are a mess. They don’t advertise and they put up other companies on your page of the exact item your selling.

Two part answer. Yes I have seen my sales on eBay decline but that has been happening for some time. However, I use multiple forums and sites to sell my items and in the overall aggregate while sales are down a little bit I am selling at about the same level that I have been for years. I live in a rather large metropolitan area and the local forums are doing especially well since there are no shipping costs involved, the risk of returns is virtually eliminated and the buyers can obtain the item immediately and inspect/view it before they finalize the purchase.

ebay is complete garbage. they have changed their listing procedure which i have had to call and spend at least 6 hours on. im currently on the phone and im on hold and have been on the phone for 2 hours just to straighten out my international shipping. i literally have ppl in my messages asking why my shipping prices are so high. so getting on the ebay international shipping is practically impossible. it is much easier just to have my own website and learn how to code up my own website

what really needs to happen is the idiots running this site need to be punched right in their mouth. the problem is stupid ppl can be stupid without repercussion. stupid ppl would stop being stupid if they knew they were going to get their teeth slapped

Been a slow decline since the Spring. Past 30 days have been worse so far. Down 35% from last month and page views down 20% while listing five days a week and more inventory then ever. Still having decent sales on other sites. Economy is weaker for sure, but I do feel Ebay traffic is down more then other sites.

Seems kind of like an economy issue. My sales are down from pandemic levels but to be fair I sell things people don't need but rather want and people are short of cash now and not buying as much. I've seen it before, I expect it will get better but it will happen again. Shopped at a Sears or K-Mart lately? Retail is retail.

It's bad. I've been maintaining sales somewhat this year, up until two weeks ago. Sales just crashed. I'm down over 90% from this time last month, and 95% over this same week last year. Last 30 days is down 45% over the previous 30 day period.
I've tried listing new things, culling old inventory, ending and selling similar, promoted listings, sales, redoing listings with new pictures, etc, everything I can think of that's worked in the past, and NOTHING has any effect. Sales just keep dropping. I cleared less than $100 this week. I see no sign this is going to turn around soon.
I figured it had to do with changes to the site that have had unintended consequences . This has happened before. I did some poking around in the traffic data to see what I could find. I'm not finished but the results so far are interesting. Over the same time periods as above, views are only down 20% generally. That means people are still clicking on my listings but are not buying. So the trick is to figure out why. If it were the economy I would expect to have seen a gradual decline but this was a crash, literally overnight. This points to something that may be allowing people to view but not purchase. Broken checkout or shopping cart? Buyers being directed elsewhere before they can purchase? I don't know. I'll keep poking around and report back with what I find. There is definitely something abnormal going on here.

I am the same.... Low Sales. For three consecutive days this week I had no sales at all. That has never happened as long as I have been selling.
I think a lot of it is due to inflation for sure.

This, and people have gone back to brick and mortars - stores here are busy and one of my neighbours has been selling well on NextWhine NextDoor. She also works for Instacart and man, are THEY busy! She's doing way better with those two things than selling online.

Been happening to me, I think it's the consumer at the moment, I've always sold very well with attractive pricing and products, but for some reason at the moment I'm not selling as good as before.

I think it has to be regarding the economy as well, for what I've seen the problem is the consumer, they are not spending as much as lets say 5 months ago. For a holiday, doesn't look good to me.

Traffic and sales have been declining on ebay all year according to media reports. While many say its the economy, I can see from my own traffic data the issue is mostly with ebay, rather than the state of the economy.
As others have noted and I totally agree with, ebay is not advertising. To make matters worse, they cut the traffic to many stores almost entirely, mine included.
Despite having close to 1,600 listings, all promoted, my view count for yesterday was 21 views total.
How can anyone have that many listings and get 21 views a day? Its obvious to me my entire store has been wiped out of search results. I can't even make enough money to pay my monthly store subscription now.

I tried to do a GrubHub order from a local restaurant at around 6:30 last night-- got a message that they'd closed orders for the evening because they already had as many as they could handle!

There are simply too many factors to pinpoint one single cause but if you are looking at it strictly from an eBay optic I would tend to agree something is amiss based on a lot of postings on this forum. EBay's history of changes and "unintended consequences" has been long and distinguished. You sell in an area that is generally not impacted too much by the economy automotive parts are almost a need rather than a want. The one things that the pandemic resulted in was an explosion in the number of ecommerce sites and I believe buyers are doing a LOT more comparative shopping around than they used to. In addition people are returning to the B&M stores after the pandemic something Wall Street predicted awhile back.
As I mentioned my eBay sales have dropped considerably but my aggregate sales are remaining pretty constant across the multiple sites and forums I list on. It will be interesting to see eBay's 3rd quarter report which I believe is due to be released on 10 November. The last two quarterly reports showed declines in almost all important areas including GMV, active buyers and sellers.
I seldom shop on eBay these days simply because I can find the items cheaper elsewhere. I have placed several international orders for items out of western Europe that were 20-30% cheaper than what I could obtain them for on eBay even factoring in the shipping and the currency exchange fees and the delivery times have only been a few days longer than what domestic orders would have been.
