Sales for me are deader than a doornail. Nothing but crickets. Nada. 4-day dryspell, like the desert. Nothing since January 3rd. 4 days, no sales is a new record for the last 12 months.
Hope things pick up soon or I am gonna have to make a beer run and drown my listing tediousness this afternoon. Until then, I expect I will list a few more, just for good measure.
Nod if you can hear me……

been down about 35% since last year, many factors but I am sure the biggest is the glut of cheap Chinese counterfeit items. Here's 1 example
How many of the 50 do you think are genuine Disney products
You can do this on thousands of items on ebay
As to your beer/wine run be responsible, I only do it when I have a sale and the day ends with the letter y

Is anyone else starting to get an increase in sales after slow sales? Just today, I'm already at 4 sales. I haven't pushed that many in a day since before New Years.

I'm with you. Slower then dirt man and unusual. I have been selling for years and I have seen slow spells but this one is new. Dead like something is wrong dead.

Welcome to the "new" eBay 🙂 Can I have my old eBay back?

It could be due to the "heat wave" we had yesterday up here in the frozen North. I got up yesterday morning to 50 degree temp. It was like spring after the last 3 weeks of FREEZING weather. I was really in the mood to take pics and list. Maybe the buyers were ready to buy again as the warm temps headed east? THEN the temps dropped to 25 by noon, freezing rain and then snow. For a few hours it looked like a blizzard. The end of my desire to list. During those 3 freezing weeks I just had no desire to list~~maybe the freezing buyers had no desire to buy. It was depressing. Now we're back in the deep freeze again and the weatherman says no warm up for at least a few more weeks.
I had my propane tank filled again and in under 3 weeks time we used 170 gallons. I'm just glad I'm at a locked in price as I think propane is going to go sky high again due to what will most likely end up a "shortage". It wasn't that many years ago it went to $6.00 a gallon. If that happens sales will be a lot slower.

Yes, dead like something is wrong.
We are small sellers, having started really selling three years ago.
Sales have always been steady, except for a 10 day stretch in August.
The last three weeks not one sale, really.....like something wrong. What???
Then, We had two sales earlier this week.
As so many others have said, more listings up, fewer sales every year.
2017 being half of 2015.
Have been wondering if our time here is just done. It's getting not worth the time. We know from reading the community that many sellers give it an effort, then are just gone. New names appear. Would love to know how many quit how soon. Or is it just ebay in general? Wonder how domestic (American) sales truly are doing. And are vintage items selling? This is one of the biggest challenges on ebay. The lack of information makes it flying blind.
We, like others, think a division/ or site of American/vintage/ preowned would be a good idea. But, maybe high shipping has killed that. We are now listing some items where the cheapest shipping is more than the item. With ebay's fees, leaving us even less.
Think a purge of items might be in order, but, things can sit for so long. We have had many items sold after 2 or three years of being listed off and on.
Never thought we would miss our B&M store like we do. Just the ability to read the customer. Direct "feedback" (and no returns!).
So, is something happening? What?

I had a great day on Tuesday, but only 2 sales the last three days. I have been listing everyday. Sales are usually pretty good when I am listing everyday. I have even resorted to promoting my items, and that hasn't helped. I really hope eBay decides to turn my listings back on. I need to generate some income here!!

I'm down 31%.. Sales always seem to go in spurts, but I haven't had many stretches of 3 days with basically no sales in quite a while...

agree same here...I have 700 items listed, a huge amount, and CRICKETS. Slow is not the word, dead as a doornail is the word. Sorry u also are hurting...Dont understand what is going on here...it's quite shocking!

I'm curious. How often do you list new items? With that many listings, its hard to believe you are only selling 10 items per month...

exactly same situation here.
it went from veeeery slow around the christmas holidays to almost none existent.
i expected to be throttled around the holiday season, so that the poor chinese and big box sellers will not have to suffer financial losses....that happens every year. but usually around new years the sales start coming in again. nothing so far this year.

Today so far is FANTASTIC. I sold 3 items for a total of $108.00 by 7:45 A.M.. I'm up to 39 sales for January. I have 8 to get shipped out today and tomorrow so far. Hopefully it will keep up.

Slow here too - but not as slow as another I just saw.
I was checking my underperforming listings and checked one of the sellers who sold similar items they were comparing me with. This seller has almost 237,000 items listed - their sales the last 90 days - just over 1,300 - now that's bad!
