Anyone else experiencing slow sales? I have an inventory of nearly 100 items and haven't had a transaction in over a week.

To anyone who can't view the listings you can just type in the OP username in advance search and there 74 listings will pop up. For some reason clicking on "view listings" is getting a 0 which is more than likely an Ebay glitch.

@almostheaven304 Items like yours will likely have slower sales this time of year (holiday run-up). I find they start picking up later in December when the holiday buying is done and people are shopping for unique items again.

It is but it is the fault of Khoros who operate the Community boards. It's not really an issue because regular buyers are not finding sellers via the boards.

I WISH I got 1 sale per 100 items per week. That would be double my normal rate.

Some sellers are experiencing slow sales.
Some sellers are experiencing outstanding sales.
It depends what you are selling.

I don't like the Offers feature because it locks up my listing if the buyer doesn't accept or reject it. So, I manually lower the price every day or two until I reach my bottom price.

My brain doesn't compute this logic. If you aren't selling anything anyway, why worry about it being "locked up"? I'm curious, you said you lower the price every day or two until you reach your bottom price. Does this stimulate sales, i.e. do you get sales when you do this? Do people wait to see if you are going to lower your price on something before they buy it?
Have you tried running a sale, as in offering a discount off your prices? For example, run a sale for 10% or 15% off your prices for a couple of weeks or more, whatever you are comfortable with, and see what happens.

A locked listing on eBay prevents a sale on one of my other online selling platforms.
I have nothing to lose trying a sale. Even one transaction is better than none. Thanks for the advice.

Why would it prevent that? You can still end a listing that cannot be otherwise edited, or edit the quantity available.

I guess you have a point. Thanks for the reminder.

I would love to see what you are selling that you have an "every few days" markdown schedule.
I used to do 3 percent every month, I currently do 10 percent every 3 months.
A lot of things on ebay just have a very limited market and even shipping the things out at a dead loss won't increase the speed that they sell at. You might be the only person on ebay that has glove box doors for 1980s Hyundai excels, but there is absolutely nothing you could do to make them sell faster.

Too quick - most things don't sell (or sometimes even re-index) that quick. Try every few weeks or once a month.

You made very valid points. I'm beginning to realize that my marketing strategy is a flawed one that is costing me money and needs to be reevaluated.

No, we aren't but I think that now people are looking more for season items and gifts than what you have selling. Here's hoping it picks up for you again soon.
