Hello All,
I sold authentic shoes with original tags receipt and box. Buyer realized second imprint on sole inside one of the pairs of shoes. Had I noticed I would have mentioned it in the listing. The listing is set up not to receive refunds. The buyer has not asked for a refund yet. Am I required to give a refund?

They probably suspect they are knock-offs.

What are those 2 photos in the listing that show it was sold to someone? (perhaps you?) for $220 and then you listed it for $385 and accepted BO?

The Walmart brands, maybe.
But not the luxury brands. Not that familiar with sneakers, but some are quite expensive. Part of maintaining that price point is quality control.

Maybe you should have opened the box...
I guess the shoe out of the box in the listing photos are of the same shoe, just taken from the website where they were purchased originally??

" The buyer has not asked for a refund yet."
Ummmm.... don't do anything.

This is not a flaw worth any part of a refund.
You don't get to decide that.
It's a flaw. One that wasn't mentioned in the listing.

Don't fall for this...this is a partial refund ploy. This is not a flaw worth any part of a refund.
What did the customer say except pointing this imprint out? Did they ask for anything? Sounds to me they are hoping you are shaking in your own *boots* and will start apologizing up and down and sideways and sending them money.
Wait and see what they do. If they want to return, ask if they have worn the shoes, then politely decline if there is wear on the sole.
If they open a case they will have to return the shoes to you, you will have to pay return shipping, and relist the shoes. But...I am betting on calling their bluff. Sounds like they want to keep the shoes and are just nit-picking looking for a nice discount. Don't fall for it. Call their bluff. Make them return the shoes if it gets to that point.
Otherwise, if they aren't asking to return, politely point out that with a small amount of wear that double strike on the imprint is not going to matter soon enough, and apologize you missed it, and offer them NOTHING.
It's a flaw that the seller didn't disclose. If the buyer files a case the seller will have to accept the return...
Why not skip the case being opened and offer the return? That's basic customer service.
