Single buyer with multiple bids intimidating

Why is it allowed for a single buyer to make multiple high bids? This is a complete intimidation tactic for other bidders. I don't see why it's allowed.

You have 2 auctions running currently

How bad can this situation (Whatever it is)   be?

Who is intimidated?
it’s an odd way to bid and completely allowed.

Why would it NOT be allowed? It's most likely that that buyer just really, really wants that item and is willing to pay however much it costs to get it.

Chances are that each bid is just a dollar higher.  It's not intimidating at all.  So far, those 2 auctions are very  low in price.   Anyway, Ebay has always been this way.  It will not stop.

High bids?

Likely that the current hidden bid is still lower than the other coin BIN price.

You don't want buyers to be able to raise their maximum bids?

Huh?  No one can see what the high bid is, how can it intimidate anyone?  I think you better brush up on how auctions work here, you don't seem to understand proxy bidding.  Here ya go.  Oh & besides not being intimidating b/c A-that's how it works, B-no one can see anyone's proxy bid, what it ACTUALLY means is that someone is really interested in your item & has decided to raise their max bid.  It happens ALL THE TIME & is expected.  It means someone really wants it, which is a good thing.

I would not list anymore until you brush up on how auctions work & what the rules are.   Good luck.

Why would it cause that?  Most sellers would be thrilled if this happened.

You sold two auctions and you have two active auctions.  So are you saying it is a problem if the same buyer bids on both your auctions?

If auctions make you uncomfortable, maybe it is best to stick with fixed price.  Auctions aren't for everyone and there is no shame in that.  Do what is best for YOU.  I mean that sincerely.

And evidently does not see that he can bid his top price at any time during the auction and be done.

There are lots of nibble bidders around.

So you believe that online auctions should run differently in regular in-person auctions?
