Just sold a new iphone to a buyer with an established account with over 1000 feedbacks. After reviewing the purchase, however, i noticed that the buyer is requesting to have the package sent to a mail forwarding company named Meest America in New Jersey. A quick google search reveals multiple instances of potential fraud related to this place.
Question is, is it worth it to proceed? Ive shipped to mail forwarders in the past with not much issue, however, all the bad experiences posted online makes me think twice. Does anybody have any experiences or issues shipping to this company?
Thanks!

I've shipped through multiple forwarders with NO issues. Remember when using any shipping forwarder other than GSP you are better protected than usual.
You are only responsible for delivery to the Shipping Forwarder. If you have delivery confirmation (with signature if required) to the forwarding agent you are protected if the buyer files and INR.
If the buyer files SNAD THEY are responsible for the shipping back to the FORWARDER and you only pay shipping back from the forwarder.
Similar protections at Paypal.
If you receive a CC chargeback come back and post here as you have to respond carefully in that case.
Overall it's as safe or safer to ship to a forwarding agent / Shipping forwarder as compared to a domestic address.

I have sent several packages to Meest with no problem.
I think they try to verify the people who use their service to offer some protection but I am
sure a few crooks manage to slip pass the checks.

The individuals account is based out of the ukraine and the paypal payment was processed as a international payment (fees of 4.4%). I just dont know whether its a unauthorized purchase or legitimate one. Its a lot to risk on one item.

Any payment over $750 requires Signature Confirmation.

I've shipped at least 5 fairly expensive items through them with no issues
As a side note: if you don't want the potential to be scammed, don't sell.
Also, you have no legitimate reason to cancel the sale.

Reason to cancel, "there is a problem with a buyers address?" Thats encouraging i realize that we almost never here of the good experiences on message boards online. I understand your point, but if i can be smart by screening addresses and making informed decisions then i can reduce my risks of being defrauded. I to have shipped out to mail forwarders without issues in the past, but all it takes is one at this price point...

Sold for $1100. Google reviews shows a significant amount of 1 star reviews of people claiming they were hacked and hackers set their primary address to this address. Im not sure if its worth the risk.
Unauthorized Use claims are the easiest to win. You don't need proof of delivery. You don't even need tracking. All you need for PayPal Seller Protection is proof of shipment - either an online receipt/tracking number or even a copy of a physical paper receipt from a PO counter.
If you are shipping to the address on the PayPal payment, a UA claim is not something I would worry about as long as you hold onto the proof of shipment.
