that is thew message on my listing.   item number.  232764725365

just was informed by a prospective buyer that he had to buy from some one else. listing has been active for a long time.  so why is it now having a problem?

and how do i find out if other listings have the same problem.

ALSO:

I just went to look into a revision to see if i could find a problem.  i couldn't find one.  but i did notice it was not set up to sell world wide.  so i tried to change it.  got an error message that first class international weight limit was 3 OUNCES.  which is obviously wrong.

Sounds like the shipping calculator's drop-down menu for 'Package type" has accidentally been set to "Letter" rather than "Package."

Do you think this is happening to every seller that tries to bulk edit their listings from flat rate to calculated shipping?

Taken literally, that error message is complaining about a missing (or invalid, anyway) ZIP Code, without which it cannot provide Calculated Shipping for any method to anywhere.

My own ZIP Code is showing in the proper place when I view that listing, and I see the error message as well (and no specific Shipping methods shown), so I'm wondering if somehow the product location of Melbourne, Florida is missing its location ZIP Code...?

Hey, this is eBay. Don't take the message literally. That message is what shows up if the seller chooses any First Class shipping method but enters a weight that is higher than allowed for that type of FC mail.

I can believe that a large number of sellers who charged a flat price for shipping had not paid attention to what had been selected in the 'Package type" menu and it didn't create a problem until they switched to calculated postage.

package large envelope was always selected on all of my first class listings.  It was what was selected when this listing was made. It worked and printed labels with tracking for years.

WHY does changing from flat rate to calculated shipping change the package type?  it doesn't make any sense that it would.  it didnt do it to any other listings that were changed from flat to calculated.

When you set up a flat price for shipping, it really does't matter what you choose in the menu for "Package type."   But if you use calculated shipping, the calculator will charge calculated postage for letters, flats (AKA Large envelope) or packages depending on what is chosen in that menu.

Right, I was referring to the item location, which was listed as Melbourne, FL. Calculated Shipping needs to know the origin ZIP (from the listing) and the destination ZIP (from the buyer) in order to show the correct Calculated Shipping price to the buyer's location. My own ZIP was showing where it should be on the item's Shipping page, and yet the error message about needing a valid ZIP code was also showing on the same page, so I'm asking whether the item location within the listing actually has its Melbourne ZIP code in the right place.

In the item listing form (visible to the seller only), waaay down near the bottom, is the "Item location" section, which should be showing a City, State and ZIP. City and State share one field (if you click the "Change" option), but ZIP has its own separate field. I can see in the listing I was viewing that "Melbourne, Florida" was showing in the right spot, but the ZIP field is not displayed. The error message shown suggests that the ZIP is missing. Can you check whether it's where it's supposed to be in the listing form?

P.S. Okay, I just went back for another look at 232764725365, which was previously showing that error, and it's now working, so something got fixed. It now shows a calculated First Class Package price to my location.
