Is shipping through eBay the cheapest option? Is there another way to ship? I always go through eBay's shipping and I'm ok with it but i wouldn't mind a better discount.

Shipping tools? Sounds like SOME of your packages may be small and heavy. USPS Cubic Rates has potential for BIG shipping cost savings.

I ship mostly through eBay. Doesn't cost anything to sign up with Pirateship. I am using Pirateship more and more because of their USPS Priority Cubic Rates and the USPS Parcel Select Cubic Rates.

eBay doesn't offer the cubic rates. Many heavy Parcel Select or Priority packages will be much cheaper when using USPS Cubic Rates through Pirateship. Pirateship can grab your eBay orders and give you the best pricing. Your choice on whether to use eBay or Pirateship.

For the cubic rates you want to use the smallest package for the most savings.

It depends on what and where you're shipping to. Pirateship offers extremely low rates if shipping internationally, especially to Canada. Although, you do receive a discount for buying shipping services through Ebay.

I'm sure there are others on here that can offer better information.

I ship stamps, airmail covers and postal history, which are flat, so my shipping costs viewpoint is biased.

Thank you. I appreciate the answer. I sell a lot of tools, so I have to factor shipping into my profit. I do not ship internationally for now. It is good to know there are some companies that i might be able to ship through.

I really appreciate that! I do have some heavy tools and I sell them mostly in person. Definitely going to take a look at pirateship sounds like it has good potential to help out with the shipping. I would like to post the heavier things on here too if I'm able to generate a better discount on the shipping.

Have you thought about Pirate ship? They're a good site to use and about the same if not a bit cheaper than Ebay. Depends on where you're shipping of course.

Glad to help. Parcel select cubic may be a good solution for you for many items. Pirateship also has an affordable insurance that can cover parcel select shipments (Priority Mail comes with $100 coverage). Hopefully 2003 will be a good year for you (and all eBay Sellers)!
