Shipment lost in Jersey City and Chicago areas. Covid-19 issues?

I have never had issues with shipments getting lost for weeks, but recently had this issue with four items in New York area and Chicago. Has anyone else had issues with USPS in these places?

USPS carefully selected your packages to be delayed, everyone else get regular service!

I've been seeing some slowdown, mostly only a few days. Jersey City and Chicago are always very busy postal facilities now they also have the pleasure of being located in COVID-19 hot spots so delays are going to happen.

I have been hearing of issues with Jersey City for weeks. Especially with holding Media Mail packages.

Everything I have shipped that delivers to a HOT SPOT (NYC, Chicago, Newark, NJ), or goes to a distribution center in one of those cities has been listed as in transit since early April.  I will not ship to these HOT SPOTS any longer until things get better.
