Shifting my listings from one Ebay store to another

Not sure how to do this...

I have my primary ebay store and am opening a new one on a second account. On the "new" account I only want to sell music items (records, CDs, DVDs etc) I have these items on my first account.  Is there an EASY way I can "move" these items to my second Ebay account? Or do I have to retake pictures and start the listings from scratch on the "new" account?

I'm not sure if I can download a CSV file with my listings and upload to the second store, and remove these from the first store.

Hope this makes sense

An EASY way? Not that I'm aware of. It sure would be nice to do a Sell Similar from one store to another, but I don't think that's possible.

Assuming you have set up a new store in your second account, this may relieve some of the burden:

"Copy and paste" is your friend here. Open up two side-by-side tabs in your browser, one for each store. "Edit" a listing in Seller Hub of your old store, and start a New Listing in your new store. In the Item Description section, select the "HTML" tab from the old store. Copy the entire contents with your mouse, go to same section at your new store, and paste it all in under its HTML section. The entire Item Description should appear exactly the same in the new store as well when you go back to "Standard". I save a of time by having multiple tabs opened up on my browser and transferring HTML to HTML by using copy and paste with my mouse, with minor updating where necessary.

Once you spend the time doing one new listing of your LPs, you can then use "Sell Similar" in your new store and update where needed.

You'll still probably have to do a lot of clicking and copy-and-paste to set up the other details to fully duplicate the old listing onto the new one, including uploading again in the "Photos" section from the images that are (hopefully) stored on your computer. But copying and pasting the HTML from one to the other should relieve a lot of the Item Description work.

Category, Photos and Item Specifics will be a bit time-consuming, especially completing the first new listing. But once you start doing this, it will go faster as you get used to it and use "Sell Similar" in your new account.

If you don't want to go to the expense and hassle of setting up and paying for a new store, I would recommend you learn how to enter something like "CLICK HERE to see all the VINYL RCORD OFFERS in my Store". When a buyer sees that and clicks on it in your Item Description, that will open up a new tab and show them just the Vinyl LP listings you have. A lot of my customers use "CLICK HERE..." to see only what they are interested in within my store.

I hope other sellers chime in here to comment on your question and provide information on what works for them... I'm sure I'll learn more myself.

Cheers, Duffy

Yes, use a third party listing tool. Some of them are inexpensive and you could do a one month subscription just to get the transfer done. The price would be well worth the time saved if you have more than a few listings.

I hoped that someone would come by and have an easier way to duplicate listings from one account to another... Thanks!

But for those who don't want the extra expense and hassle of a second account, adding the "CLICK HERE...." to the listings item description in the first account helps a lot for buyers to see all that they are interested in when in the first account.

To give you an idea of affordability, a service like InkFrog is $11/mo for up to 300 listings or $19/mo for up to 1,500 listings. They also offer a 14 day free trial.

Disclaimer: I've never used InkFrog but have friends that use it and like it. I'm not fully versed on their features.

There are many similar services with similar pricing and similar free trials. Pick one that works for you.

Ugh.. sounds like it's going to be a chore! I did do this once years ago with Turbo Lister, but I still had to modify the listings a bit... and I'm talking about 250 - 300 record listings.

I am thinking of using my free Bonanza Marketplace account, maybe to migrate the items... but wasn't wanting to use a "middleman"... there's NO WAY I can download a data file from one Ebay account and upload to my new one?

Not without using a 3rd party service.  Sixbit would do it easily.....
