So now sellers are responsible for lost or stolen packages or USPS boo boos?!? I think our customers here are getting an Amazon mentality about everything. Thanks so much Amazon. Angry customer opened a case; I provided tracking showing the item was delivered and she escalates the case with this response:
The tracking does show the item was delivered. It just was not delivered to my house. I was home all day, getting ready for my garage sale the next day. I don t know if the address was incorrect, the post delivered it to the wrong home, or if it was stolen. I did receive ail that day-just no ring.
Need I say BBL?

Send him a video of a pickpocket stealing money from your wallet
and ask him to resubmit another payment.

LOL, I guess I should start wearing a bodycam from now on.

This is not your fault.
Normally seller wins 100% a case where USPS shows delivery and buyer claims undelivered.
If the buyer wins such a case who tells he will not repeat to other sellers?

Seller protection on INR is now BETTER than it used to be. Ebay used to find for the buyer in the old days when tracking shows delivered. Now they find for the seller.
Knowing how often MY packages end up elsewhere, I don't really have a problem with Ebay refunding buyers. As long as they're tracking those refunds to find repeat issues.

eBay Customer Support has refunded the buyer. We're issuing the buyer a refund for this case. You don't need to do anything else. This case won't be included when we evaluate seller performance. Note: It may take up to 24 hours to update in your Seller Dashboard.Final decision:
You were not found at fault.Transaction summary:
Any remaining funds from this transaction are available
It means the first sentence of your OP is wrong, and you made a mountain out of a molehill.

That delivery confirmation is the seller's protection.
It is now the property of the receiver, so any issues are between the buyer and the carrier.
Buyers have MBG, sellers have tracking and report.
