Had some free listings from a promo to use up around 1:40am CT this morning. Was going to relist 64 items. Servers were down until after 2 AM CT - free listings are now gone and cannot be used. THANKS EBAY.

Yep. 40 minutes down. That's a LOT of lost sales for everyone.

Logged on to FB to see everyone complaining that they lost service - service was down for those in Florida as of 11:25pm - still down in Illinois as of an hour ago so around 3:30 their time. So many lost sales because they can't fix their glitches but want to keep piling on with these new and improved changes which just make it worse.
Now when my cable goes out - I can call and get a credit for the time it's not available to use - Ebay use to extend auctions when they had server problems - once more the seller and buyer suffers.

eBay please announce there are site problems I am loosing hundreds in sales because I can't open hyperlinks without getting errors. I can't list! Are they going to compensate us for loss of sales? Will they kindly let us know when things will be back to normal?

Sometimes waiting until the last minute to do something is not a good idea!!! Learn from it and move on.

I was just now able to log in.
I've gotten errors since last night.

It seems lately like this discussion board is turning into a complaint forum without merit. A server having problems for a few hours is not unusual and we shouldn't overstate the problems it has caused us as individual sellers.
For instance, the seller stating that the problem was causing them to "lose hundreds in sales" on the 11th had sales of $75.67 on the 11th, $85.71 on the 10th, $97.22 on the 9th, and $16.52 on the 8th. None of those number is in the "hundreds". At least be truthful with yourself and don't overstate your case.
Sales seem to be down across the board on eBay, but using a few hours of server downtime as the reasoning for it doesn't seem legitimate to me. Not finding fault, but if we have complaints, we need to be honest with each other as to what they are.

ebay's gone crazy for me in the last hour. getting all kinds of errors and now it's telling me I'm not subscribed to selling manager (just started a new year and paid at the first of the month, so that's not an issue) . I can't even look at my inventory as the link is no longer there.

I just went to check my watch list and it comes back with a message that the server is down. This seems to be an ongoing thing with eBay lately. A seller is going to lose a sale because I can't get to the item.
How many of sellers are going to lose sales because of eBay's incompetence. Wondering if they have fixed all of their glitches yet or is it the same old, same old, we are working on them. Hire a competent IT company and fix this garbage for once and for all.

How do you know that is the only selling ID they have?
06-12-2019 09:51 AM
I have no idea how many seller ID's the poster has. I made a general statement based on the information given as to the problem. I think exaggeration or misinformation would only increase if there were more ID's. It really doesn't make any difference to me, but when I am listening to a complaint, I like to make sure I am getting good information. Thanks.
