I had heard that sellers were getting varying lengths of offers....
I just received an offer that was only good for 23 hours. Really? Not even a whole day?

Buyers can choose 12 hours if they want to - unless eBay changed it again.
Reasons you would see 23 instead of 24 hours include: a delayed notification of the offer cutting off an hour, or the listing is set to renew in 23 hours cutting off an hour from the offer time.

At least they didn't use the 12 hours
East coast West coast & you are sleeping , imagine 🙂
Agree with wastingtime maybe a time delay that it's not 24 only 23hrs
That's a bit strange or is it 23hrs some odd minutes but they don't show the minutes ? Not sure
Think they did this as many buyers got tired of waiting 48 hours & possibly losing out on purchasing a different item.

I have no prob with the 1 day offers ,I know within 1 min if I will accept it or not

When is the listing set to "end", or roll over? When the listing rolls over, any offers are no longer valid.

May have been a short lived test, but I am sure that I have seen posts where the buyer was able to choose from as little as a 6 hour offer.

To be honest, it makes sense. Buyers can’t be expected to sit on their email for 2 days waiting for an answer

I believe the offer time starts when the seller creates the offer, not when the buyer sees it. You could have had only minutes remaining. What would have happened if you did not see it until next week?

Not in this case - it popped up on my phone app

On the few items where I have enabled best offer I set the auto accept and auto decline at the same price so the buyer knows the result instantly, and if it's high enough, so do I.
