Sending offer on multiple items as a Seller

I was contacted by a buyer who wanted to buy 5 items that are all listed separately. I am fine with the price but is there a way to send this offer to the buyer or is it easier for them to do it and if so how? Also, I'd combine shipping of course so does either method allow for combining shipping?

If you want to combine shipping the easiest option is:

1. Lower price of all 5 items

2. Tell buyer to add to cart then click the 'request total' link so you can send an invoice with combined ship cost

Offers do not play well with anything else, including combined shipping.

What I do is end 4 of the listings, and change the 5th listing to indicate "For a special buyer 5 items as agreed in messages." This way you don't have to worry about relying on them to buy all 5. Then I send the listing number to the buyer once I'm done.

(The item I change to include all 5 is the item that they originally messaged me on, so eBay doesn't think I'm trying to do transactions away from eBay.)

@sfjoro

The settings eBay gave you by default, will not allow buyers to make offers on multiple listings of yours and combine them for one reduced shipping cost.

https://www.ebay.com/bmgt/buyerrequirements

Buyer Rules:

*Require buyers to provide a payment method before they place a bid.

*Require buyers to provide a payment method before they make an offer.

If they send offers and you accept, their pre-entered payment source will be billed automatically at full shipping price, five separate times.

Generally, when you SEND offers you don't know who is going to get them.  Unrelated to the above buyer rules, the buyers no longer have an accept button, and again must pay separately for each item.

I think you were given some good options in message #s 2 and 3, if you wish to retain your buyer rules and limit the easy way to combine items in the future.

What I do......

1 - Tell the buyer to add all items to their cart and use Request Total (this function not always available so you try....

2 - Tell the buyer to add the items to the cart, purchase at the listed price and you will refund the overage. Some buyers might be hesitant so you try.....

3 - Tell the buyer to give you a list of the items and make a custom listing for them with the agreed upon pricing.
