How are Ebay sellers able to sell baseball, basketball cards, etc. without the authenticity guarantee? Please don't reply they are not, because I have found multiple examples of this occurring. Thanks in advance.

Ebay only accepts certain companies that have graded or authenticated your stuff. If you choose to list with a COA it must be from one of those companies. You would have to be more specific in your inquiry if you want further answers.

When I sell a basketball rookie card, my listing includes the "Authenticity Guarantee" blue check mark, and I am required to send my card to Ebay's authentication services before it ultimately goes to the buyer. I have found many examples of other sellers, who are selling the exact same card as me and they do not have the "authenticity guarantee" requirements. That gives them a distinct advantage over my listings, as buyers will get their cards faster, etc. If the rules require all cards be authenticated, how are some sellers able to avoid this requirement?

I can’t answer your question but having to use AG isn’t necessarily a detriment to a buyer. Some may feel more comfortable paying a high amount for a card that has been sent through the program.

The Authenticity Guarantee is totally up to eBay.
The seller has no say as to weather the Authenticity
Guarantee is placed on a listing or not.

I’ve seen Nike Air Jordans listed at over $200 and somehow the sellers are avoiding the authentication process. It’s supposed to be added automatically at a price above $75 on shoes. I can tell by the prices of the shoes that they’re fakes. Also the amount available. One particular pair I’ve seen multiple listings for without the authenticity guarantee is Nike Air Jordan 4 SB Pine Green. Somehow they’re listing without the guarantee being added. The shoes retailed for $225 and were hard to find yet these sellers have multiple pairs in multiple sizes. I’m trying to save buyers who don’t know better from getting ripped off.

They're probably from a country not supported by AG or they listed them in the wrong category.
Those are the first two guesses off the top of my head.
