So you know how ebay has a real-time total of "Monthly listed and sold" dollar amount total under your Monthly Selling Limit section...
Does that real-time number include shipping price you charge on top of item price? What about sales tax? What about an auction with 99 cent start but $100 BIN?
If it does include shipping price on there... many listings I have give buyers the option for 3 different shipping options at different prices. Some even differ by $20+ (free shipping vs overnight, not to mention expensive international shipping). Which price does ebay use? And how would ebay project what sales tax is attached to that number (in regards to "listed" amount) since it's dependent on where the buyer is?

No.

No.
What about an auction with 99 cent start but $100 BIN?
It counts the $100, not the $.099

Okay so that answers the ones that are "listed". Is it also the same for the sold listings? I.E. An international buyer bought a $10 item but paid $25 in shipping, so that sale only adds $10 to the selling limit?

Technically speaking- it adds nothing to the limit. It was already counted in the limit when it was an active listing. When a sale is made the dollar amount doesn't change it just shifts from listed to sold.
The only time the dollar amount would change when a sale is made is with an auction that's soaring higher than the start price (I think).
Either way- shipping does not impact those numbers.

Gotcha, thanks.
I realize that this then would be another reason why some sellers back load their pricing with say $1 fixed price listing with $40 s/h. It may not be to avoid FVF (because it's charged on shipping now), but more so to get around selling dollar amount limits. Interesting.

Some sellers do it- but I wouldn't recommend it. eBay places limits for a reason so any seller trying to circumvent those limits can easily find themselves facing a suspension.
I know you weren't suggesting it- but I'm adding this disclaimer for anybody reading who thinks it's a great idea. 😉

As well as PO a buyer, most know that $5 widget does not cost $40 to ship. They may be listing that way, but they are probably not selling much.

Well, a 5.00 'parts only' printer or computer tower could easily be 40.00 or more to ship USPS.

Or my 1970's broken B/W Zenith 20" TV.
Maybe someone selling a big bag of dirt.

Ha! I suckered my brother into taking my old 32" TV from my cottage so he could use it at his cottage, since I had brought my older LCD flat screen 32" from home. Of course, now you can get a 32" new one for about 130 bucks ............. or a 48" for 250.00 ...
